8 year old daughter, always upset & perfectionist

My dear 8 year old daughter is falling apart (often literally on the floor crying) all the time. It's about lots of different things, but it's often about something she didn't do perfectly on her school work or something she doesn't understand. (We home school.)

Is this normal? Any advice? It's so frustrating to me b/c I haven't found anything that helps.

I don't know if it's normal or not, but my just turned 8 year old son is super emotional lately. I was going to take him golfing the other night (something he normally loves) and he just started crying about how he didn't want to go. Much more of a reaction that he's normally give.
