Hello everyone. I have been divorced for about 4 years now and have two kids ds (11) and dd(7). I've dated on and off for the last year or so. Nothing ever materialized, in all honesty I probably wasn't ready. Well, I met this guy (I'll call him Karateguy), who is sweet, funny, cute and we have a lot in common. We went out for the first time yesterday and we hit it off pretty well. He knows about my children and he's asked questions about them. He doesn't have children of his own, and kids haven't exactly been a part of his life at all.
I feel like I'm jumping the gun a bit, but if it's not with this guy, it will be with someone else. So my question is what should I expect from him in as far as my children? They haven't met and probably won't until I'm sure this relationship is going to last. Someone not liking my kids is a deal breaker most definitely. But even someone who is apathetic toward them is not going to work. My children and I are best friends and I wouldn't trade that for any man. Are there any signs I should look for in this guy that says that he's not going to mesh well with my children or maybe just Isn't a kid kind of guy?
