I'll try not to let things get too long, but...
We just got DS's results back, and he's showing allergies to egg whites and yolks, gluten, pineapple, spelt and triticale. These are the "to avoid completely." Then, he's got a moderate allergy (ok for a four day rotation) to some cheeses, cow's milk, wheat, rye, garlic, and a couple of other things that we're not really affected by.
So here's the thing: how is it possible that he must avoid gluten completely, but it's ok to have wheat and rye on a rotation basis? And the same thing with the dairy...he can only have milk on a four day rotation, but certain cheeses (cheddar, mozzarella & swiss) are ok anytime. I'm confused by this. Can anyone explain why this would be?
And...looking for breakfast ideas! I found a yummy oatmeal recipe that we like, but nothing beyond that. Does anyone have some links to some good things? I'm ok with lunch and supper, but breakfast has me stumped! Thanks so much!
