Fleece wetbag?

Thread Starter
I saw a post here recently where mom was using wool as a wet bag and I wonder if anyone's ever tried the same with fleece? I like the idea of having something breathable (knowing that airflow helps with smells)...AND want the flexibility of using it without a pail.

Does anyone have any experience in this regard?

Thank you!

I think that was me!

One thing that's cool about wool is that it has that cool thing where if you let it dry, it doesn't smell, and it has antimicrobial properties. I don't think that fleece would share those properties, although it is water-resistant. So you might have to wash it more often that you would wool.

That said, I would totally go ahead and try it, particularly if you could maybe find an old fleece sweater or something you weren't really out any money if it didn't work. (I am a scofflaw about The Rules. Do it! Try it and report back!)

I had a funky bag I used that came with a folding camping chair. It was made of nylon or polyester, like the fabric a camping tent would be made of. However, I did NOT like the air flow- rather than helping with smells, it just allowed them to circulate.
