DD has had loose bowels for the past 2 1/2 weeks. This is unusual for her. We have battled constipation in the past but never loose stools. I'm trying to figure out what can be causing this. I feel like I know all about constipation but I'm clueless about the loose stools! Her diet has not changed. we added in some digestive enzymes about the same time she got loose stools but i stopped those and the loose stools are continuing. Any thoughts?

Loose stool or actual diarrhea? Loose stool is so much better than constipation! I'm guessing that the enzymes she was taking had a detoxifying effect. Just slow down on them until her body adjusts.

Well what would be the difference between the two? Her stools aren't formed at all. It's like a bunch mush/mud. Grooss I know That's the thing though I stopped the enzymes about a week ago and they're still loose

That is what happens to my son when I give him probiotics. And it definitely lasts past the time I stop giving it to him.

It sounds like there's some kind of issue with her digestion. Possibly food allergies. I know you've probably heard that a million times if you've been here very long.

How much do you already know about healing the digestive system? Do you know about how to make kefir from raw milk? What about bone broths? Juicing?

Let me know if you have any more questions, there's probably a lot I could help you with if I had more specific details.

I know a lot about all that Not saying that i do digestive healing things consistently tho Don't have a juicer, don't do enough bone broth, get kefir occasionally. We eat well but not perfect. Lots of good fats, eggs(dd not me), grass fed meat, coconut yogurt, some gluten, and salads. BTW I've never made my own kefir, we aren't in one spot very long. We spend 4 months in AZ,2 months in FL and 6 in Baltimore so it's hard for me to make things like that

Sounds like you're a lot like me. You know what to do, but the pressures of life make it difficult to follow through.

Hope your daughter starts doing better soon!
