Some of us in the one thread thought it might be nice to have everyone post a photo of themselves (and their SO, if so inclined), and a blurb about interests, what you do for a living, hobbies, that sort of business! Tell us alllll about you!

This is me (Brandy) and my DH (Tony). I'm 26 and he's 30. We got married April 26th, 2008 and we've had an uphill battle trying to get to the point that we are now (Expecting our first child together). I have a DD from a previous marriage who will turn 7 on my due date (decemer 14th). She's really excited that she's going to be a big sister finally...but only if it's going to be a girl lol. (She's really funny about that too...)

I work for a 911 center on one of the army bases here in alabama and my husband is a mechanic and a physical trainer at a local gym. We enjoy watching movies, playing cards, and just laying around talking. We don't really go out much because we would rather just spend our time at the house. (since our schedules don't allow much time together)

HI! Well, my wife, daughter, and I live in NC. I'm an airline pilot and my wife is a BSN (Bachelors in Nursing or RN) in an OR. My wife is 23, Paige is 17m and I'm 27. I love taking pictures (I have over a thousand of Paige on Facebook alone). My wife loves coupons and sales which saves us a lot of money. We had a homebirth with Paige, we co-sleep though we are working her into her own bed, we cloth diaper part time, Paige still nurses, we selective Vax, baby wear, eat as much local organic as we can afford/find, chart, and attend Catholic Mass.

Here is a picture September

DF Ryan and Myself, Mae - here and here
DS Matthias - here (and he is so proud that he can do that)
DD (I do not share her name, sorry) - here
and current baby - here (in the belly lol) hope you are all as miserable as I am soon! (and by miserable I only refer to the fact that although I will be 20 weeks tomorrow I STILL have morning sickness)

I am 27, DF is 25 (nearly 26), DS is 7, DD is going on 5, Baby-in-the-tummy will be 20 weeks along tomorrow and next week we schedule the ultrasound to find out if baby is an Alexander or a Maeryn (yeah my REAL name isnt Maeryn and DF loves the name so much he wants to name baby that)

Im a stay-at-home mom and DF is a Sgt. in the Marine Corps... his job basically translates into being a diesel mechanic.

This is our first baby together, we plan on one more... DD and DS look at DF as their Daddy anyway though!

This is my husband Alex, who's 24 (this was probably 3 years ago, he doesn't like being photographed).

That's me, Kate, when I had navy blue hair (brown now). I'm 22.

We've been married since August 23rd, 2007 when I was 19 and he was 21. We grew up in Victoria, BC and currently live in Cold Lake, Alberta, Canada. Alex is a trucker by day and a writer/video game nerd by night. I'm working steadily at a record store when my graphic design work is slow - I do the graphics for 7 radio station and 2 television station websites in my region. It's a work at home gig, so it would be perfect for me to carry on after we have our first baby.

I draw and paint, study herbalism and I spin yarn, extract dyes from plants and knit. Art, craft, and music are my passions, and I don't do things half-way.

Case in point - TTC. I went off BC in the beginning of March and have been charting since day 1. I've learned so much about my body and the way conception works, and given our nerdy, bookish nature, Alex and I are totally into the biology behind it.

I can't wait to get pregnant. Though there are no midwives in my area, I plan to try for a drug free, intervention free labor. We're all over natural parenting and all that crunchy awesome goodness, which is so unlike everyone in our area, so I definitely anticipate some judgement and criticism. I don't care. It's going to be sooooo great.

Anyway, I'm really happy to be here. It's so nice to meet all of you!

I am loving this thread! SO great to see everyone and the beautiful little kiddos. Everyone looks a lot younger than I expected, is that weird? I think of all of you as so wise and supportive it never occurred to me that you are younger than I am lol.

Here are me (Kristin) and the husbandit (Mac) being goofy last valentine's day (mmm russel stover...). We live in Texas and have 2 terribly spoiled dogs Stella and Chloe. I am currently a full time grad student and DH manages the computing and IT center at a university nearby. We are huge nerds who love video games, star wars and science fiction and I am a complete crochet addict. Spin I am totally interested in your spinning and dye extraction, does it take a lot of special tools? (here are some creations I made last year)

We are doing our best to TTC #1 and cannot wait to be parents! It feels like everyone we know is popping out babies so it gets discouraging but I feel confident that someday (hopefully soon) it will be out turn.

Hahaha, that's so awesome! You guys sound just like us! We loooove our video games(I'm watching my sweetie play Heavy Rain on our new PS3).

Making dye isn't hard! You can buy the dyestuff (the plants or roots you want) or do some research and find some local ones, collect enough to get a nice potent dye, and simmer it in water to extract! It's really not hard, I actually have a tutorial for cochineal on my personal blog here (I hope it's okay to link there) but the methods used can be applied to any number of different dyestuffs.

Are you on Ravelry? It's nice to find another fibrey person and AHHH I LOVE THE AMIGURUMI LINK!

My name is Holly (haha are you shocked?). I'm a teacher (surprise?) haha. A preschool teacher actually at a Reggio inspired/emergent curriculum/play based/inquiry learning/multiage center that serves vegetarian meals (occasionally including fresh veggies from our garden but we're in vermont so we don't have a loooong growing season). Oh and we did recently tap our maple in the back yard so we had fresh homemade maple syrup. I love my job and work in the best preschool in our state

I get to take ds with me and have been able to since i came back from my maternity leave...I took 6 months because luckily Dh's job is enough to cover us (we have to stretch during that time but it's worth it). Our usual youngest at the preschool is 2 though...so DS has grown up there and all the kids dote on him all the time. He's going to be 3 this August!! I can't even believe it!!!!

I had no trouble conceiving him at all. Our first baby we got preggo with on the first try...m/c at twelve weeks it was horrible...we had already had 2 ultrasounds confirming how perfect and healthy he/she was. I had the m/c at home was in terrible pain ...kept calling my ob and she kept saying it was probably constipation and there was no way i could be m/c since the u/s showed a beating healthy heart....

We got preggo with ds the following cycle (again first try). He was born with a heart defect called Tetralogy of Fallot. Here i a little slideshow video about his surgery if you are interested (it also includes pics of DH and I ).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bUG_2ZY9pc

So it's all new to me to NOT be getting preggo easily...i'm on cycle 3 of trying and first cycle of charting and REALLY hopeful about this cycle but we shall see!!!

For hobbies I've recently been REALLY interested in embroidery. I also just got the Amanda Soule books (soulemama....her blog is AWESOME) and have started making some of the crafts in there. I WANT to learn to knit but can't figure it out and i also recently bought a sewing machine but it feels really confusing to me still LOL.

okay i wrote a book i'll stop now! also trying to NAK my ds to sleep so it's hurting my arms to reach around him and type hahah

This is my DD, Adalyn, age four. And here is my DS, Ethan, age two. I guess you guys want to know what me and DH look like too. So here you go That one is from the past halloween... We were mama bear and papa bear. Adalyn was Goldie Locks and Ethan was the baby bear. Thought you might like that. But really, this is a normal one of me and DH.

A little bit about us... We were married in 2004 when I was 18 and he was 22. Way young, I know. I am a SAHM and would love to one day become a CNM. I apprenticed with a local CPM for two years and LOVED it. DH is a database administrator for a software company. In our spare time I love to read and DH is a recovering gamer. Ha. He also likes to read and work out. Currently, we live in NC but are planning on moving to TX soon. And... we want lots of babies

Ya'll make me feel really old. Like, OLD. But I'm only 30, and DH is 33.

My name is Callie and I work in the research field too, Chantelle. I really like my job though. My husband is a music teacher.

Here's my little cutie: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4023/...3136dd39fd.jpg

oh holly, I watched your video and it made me bawl what you went through. I'm so glad he's ok. Thanks for sharing!

This is so cool to see everybody! Nintendork, DH and I are total video game/star trek/science fiction nuts, too! I don't crochet anymore, but I sporadically do crazy big cross-stitching projects.

No pic of DH and me...I'm a teacher too, and a little paranoid of being discovered somehow. I don't know why, maybe because I'm such an emotional wreck on here so often. I teach first grade, and DH and I love camping and fly-fishing (although any fishing makes us happy). We have a small house with a cozy lot, but we garden tons and compost and have a stone fire-pit in our yard. I LOVE reading, especially kids and young adult magical/fantasy stories. I'm reading an awesome series right now that start with the book 100 Cupboards. HIGHLY recommended because it's creative and slightly creepy. What else? Oh, we bake all our own bread with our bread machine and whole wheat/organic ingredients, we go to the market for most of our food (except in the summer where we eat from our garden) and we try not to eat chemicals in our food. Ok, nuff about me. More, more, this is fun!

oh yeah...ttc (duh)...we've been at this for almost 2 years (end of May). It sucks. But I'm trying to re-discover my sense of humor about it. I guess it helps that we're going hard-core RE intervention. though that's really hard in itself. If my blood test is negative on Wed. we'll be on to cycle 23.

ps - Callie, I'm 31, so don't go calling 30 old.

Learning to knit isn't hard, it just takes persistence! www.knittinghelp.com is a great way to learn, they have videos of everything. The book Stitch and Bitch by Debbie Stoller is probably my favourite for teaching others to knit. The language is easy (not all knitterspeak) and it has very clear diagrams.

Thanks! it was REALLY hard. I can never really even describe how hard...but we got through it because really that is all you can do right!?

Now my ds is SUPER active and totally healthy and his cardiologist does not think he will need surgery again in the future (even though most patients do).

It's actually a factor into why we've waited til now to ttc again...before ds we assumed we'd start just before or around age 2. It has taken a lot of talking and soul searching to be "ready" again....for a while dh was against having more kids because he literally felt he could not survive if we had another child needing a life saving MAJOR surgery.....it's hard before you have kids to realize the whole something could be wrong thing...it's like you just imagine perfect healthy babies and when something is wrong it can really throw you for a loop.

our chances of having another CHD (congential heart defect) baby is double the average couple. But everyone has a 7 in a 1000 chance of a CHD baby so our chances are 14 in 1000. It is actually the most common birth defect although many people do not know that (more common than all childhood cancers combined). K there was my little awareness plug

OMG guys this is awesome, its so nice to put a face to the name and posts!! I think this link might work!! I hope so anyway....

http://s1034.photobucket.com/albums/a427/kazcop/

There is a photo of my wonderful boys, all three of them, the other photo is me with Riley on the motorbike, its his obsession!!

Im pretty sure my signature explains who I am!! We are onto our 7th and last cycle of TTC #3, we had no idea it would take us this long. DH will be spending most of next year away from home, so its a tough decision to make but we want to do this together.

We live in Australia, and thanks to the Army, have seen most of it!!
