My ds is nearly 4, and healthy as far as I can tell, no delays etc. But I did vax him up until 9 months, I was a young, new mom and didn't know much about not vaxing vs. vaxing. I did do the newborn HEP B vax at the hospital with him and after taking him home he had what looked like to me a seizure. I even called the nurse hotline and the nurse said it's normal, a lot of moms call in about that. So I thought it was normal but now years later I wonder if it could have been related to the HEP B vax he had had at the hospital. So, is it normal for newborns to have seizures, or what looks like a seizure, eyes rolling back, jerking etc? Could it have been from the HEP B or from me having an epidural, etc? I have actually had a grand-mal epileptic seizure when I was 16, I had MMR and cat-scan and while the dr. found abnormal brainwave activity and I am not considered epileptic, the dr. said many people only have seizures once in their life and so they are not diagnosed with that condition. So is it possible that it could have been heredity? I just want to know what it was that caused seizure like behavior in my ds and whether it is normal in newborns. It went away after a couple days and ds has never had any seizures or seizure like behaviors since.

It certainly doesn't sound like normal behavior for a newborn!
Here is a simple way to check. Get hold of a standard text for parents on caring for babies. It should have a detailed section on newborns and what to expect and what to watch out for. Read it. See if the behavior you described is included and treated as normal.
If it doesn't show up, then it is a rare and unusual phenomena and the nurse was being really weird.
As to the vaccine connection...I don't know. It seems both possible and plausible.
You could check the vaccine insert if you know what vaccine it was and see if seizures are listed as an adverse effect.
