e-mail to my pregnant friend - how does this sound?

My friend is pregnant with her first, a boy. How does this sound to send to her as part of an e-mail? I have no idea where she stands on the topic. She's about 7 months along.

"I was wondering if you had researched circumcision yet and how you felt about it. The only reason I bring it up is because we did have Alex circ'd and now I regret it. The procedure went fine and everything, but I did not research it before, and if I knew then what I know now I would have passed on that. I just wanted to share those thoughts with you so you can make a more informed decision than I did. "

I think it sounds good. Maybe a bit mild. How would you feel about saying "I deeply regret it" to give a little more nudge into doing the research before. Or "I greatly regret it and would like to save another mother the same feeling? Too strong?

I agree with PuppyFluffer, but otherwise think it's good! I would probably include a link as well (such as http://www.circumstitions.com/Itsaboy.html or http://circumcisiondecisionmaker.com/)

Good luck!
