Baby's hair

I am wondering about my baby's hair! Right now it starts really high up o his head and is very fine. At what point might I expect his hair to start getting fuller? This is my 1st so I don't know what the variance of newborn hair is like!

do new babies generally have hairlines that start really high?! Or just mine?

dude. my newborn has more hair than my 22 month old. so there is just know way to tell what will happen next with those locks

I keep hoping my dd keeps her hair. I know sometimes they are born with it and it falls out and grows in a different color or texture. although she also has hairy ears right now, and I certainly will not complain if that goes away!

and, yes, her hairline is a little funky so far. but she has hair, and ds is still waiting on his, so I won't complain I think it would be harder to have a bald girl at two than a bald boy!

dds hairline is high too.
from what i've seen their air gows through quite a few
changes in the first month, so i'm thinking that will change.
her hair is also quite straiht right now. i'm sre that will curl/kink up as time goes on too.

Baby pattern baldness Bram has TONS OF HAIR! But I don't think my older 2 started getting thicker hair until a year, but it's started filling in the bald spots by 6 months. These are just my kids and everyone does things their own way so Teo may do things differently. Some babies even lose their hair.

Avery started out with a regular hairline, and then he lost the hair on top with a receding hairline (a la the baby pattern baldness ROP mentioned...). My other two lost their hair , too... Oliver lost it the same way, Sophia lost it around the sides (just kept the bit up top). I can already see avery's new hair coming in, though (little blonde peach fuzz...) but my kids' hair doesn't really start seeming thick until the end of the first year, usually.

Hazel has a pretty amazing receding hairline going on... lol ... and my kids' hair has come in weird. With my oldest, her hair grew in the most amazing mullet-ish way The top took FOREVER to grow in, but the sides and back grew like wildfire.. lol .. but it was SUPER thin until she was.. hm.. three? Then it was CRAZY thick (and still is to this day). dd2 and dd3 have incredibly thin hair...

Evelyn had more hair when she was born, but lost it like Jenna described Avery's above. Lucy lost hers the same way, and out of curiosity I just checked iPhoto. It looks like she grew back the receding hairline hair by 3 months, but then it stayed pretty thin for quite a while, until at least her first birthday.

My mom made some comment the other day about hair thickness and color. She said "Well, looks like Evie's going to be a blonde because her hair's so thin." Weird. (Mom is a sandy blonde, I'm a dark brunette, and DH and DD1 are both sandy blonde.)
