Ok, I'm a moron about food safety. I bought a thing of packaged spinach last night, but it got forgotten and left out of the fridge till this morning. It says to keep it refrigerated. So, is it bad??

I'm usually pycho about food safety and keeping food in the fridge, lol.

my opinion is that veggies never NEED refridgeration. That said, go with your comfort zone. (there have been outbreaks of ecoli and stuff on veggies from comercial farms). However for me, I'd still eat it, and I'd still eat it raw, and I wouldn't even blink about it.

I'd still eat it too. I think for produce, fridge is only required to prolong the shelf-life?

I agree. keeping produce cold is to keep it fresh longer. fresh produce goes bad FAST at room temp.
