This is more of a rant that anything, but anyways. I have a camping trip to go on with with my son for Boy Scouts that requires a physical form to be filled out for him and myself. It has to be filled out by a MD, DO, nurse practitioner, or physician's assistant. I am having no luck finding anyone that will see me for this physical. I have a lay midwife with tons of experience but she can't fill out this physical. (Home birth is strongly opposed in Illinois.)
I don't know what to do. I am considering just going to a Prompt Care to get a physical and playing dumb about the pregnancy. I am about 4 months pregnant and gonna look a little ridiculous pretending not to know that I am pregnant.
Everything is working out on the homebirth itself, but grrr, this is aggravating.
