I am pregnant with my first and am researching cloth diapers. I'm not quite sure what kind of system I'm going to use yet. I'm leaning towards a combo of AI2s, pockets, and prefolds with covers.
One thing I've noticed is that most of the pics of AI1/2s, pockets, and covers I've seen online look kind of stiff and plastic-like. We don't have any stores in my area that carry cloth diapers, so I'm going to have to order them, but I'm concerned about the diapers not feeling soft. Do they feel softer than they look?
I have seen some that look really soft, like the fleece Baby Softwraps and the Bummis Polar Fleece covers. What are the advantages/disadvantages of fleece-covered dipes? I like that they look very snuggly instead of like plastic. I think I read that the Bummis covers have PUL between the fleece layers, but not sure about the Baby Softwraps.
Also, I can't seem to find any reviews on the BSW...anyone use them? They look good to me because they have the flexibility of a snap-in soaker OR using them as a cover for prefolds. But I'm still new at this, so not sure...
