Hey, me too!!! My left ovary hasn't ovulated since before the surgery (at least six months) and I've got a couple follicles peeking in to join the party today. Let's go, Lesliesara, left ovary preggo party!!! I hope your IUI went well!

um....I haven't posted here in forever , but I had to respond. We had what we thought was a follicle leap ahead of all the others, and we were super bummed on Saturday thinking we'd only have one. It was 22mm. Today it's GONE. I guess it was a cyst, which would explain the spotting I had on Saturday night. Anyway, now we have maybe five potential follicles going on in there. WOOOOOOT!!!!! (ok, they're all still pretty small (13, 10, 9, 9, 7) but keep growing, guys!

Well I'm afraid I'm not going to brighten up the crap party today. Just found out tonight that despite making me endure a freakin' MRI, my insurance calls Growth Hormone an 'exclusion' - nice right? The pharma company that was fighting w/ them about it (idk how that happened, but whatever) - says they want to see if we qualify for free or reduced GH for a year (although what I do after a year - idk - can't pay the $250 a day for it afterwards ). We have to submit our 2009 tax returns, ball park medical expenses, # of people in household - you know give them our life story to see if we qualify, which I'm not holding out hope that we will @ this point and we're not sure we want to give a pharmaceutical manufacturer all of that info.

I posted in Health and Healing to see if there's a reputable alternative to the injections, but again I'm completely depressed and not very hopeful. Then I remembered that a few years ago I read The Infertility Cure by Randine Lewis - and maybe I could find a practitioner locally. idk if that's even possible. When it comes to pregnancy and mc - my main issues are egg quality and regulating hormones, etc. during the first trimester. I'm so freakin' mad.

Today is cd9, not that it matters.

Just jumping in to say hi and wishing all of you ladies luck I know that i graduated a few months ago but trust me i'm still on here at least every other day looking to see what everyone is up to in their cycles. I am thinking about all of you!!!!

That is crazy! I really don't know much about it, but aren't there medical implications to not taking it. When do you see your RE again?

Hey 5 follies!! You are a machine -great, great luck this month.

So with all of my moving stress and work being crazy, ttc stress isn't even hitting the radar this week. If the IUI this month didn't work, I'm seriously considering taking the summer off. I've been doing fertility treatments pretty much non stop since December and its getting old. So I guess we'll move on to injectibles in the fall.

I NEED YOUR HELP!!!!!
AFM - Had U/S number 3 today and got the call from the nurse saying that we have two options... #1 is to cancel this cycle all together b/c they are worried about Quads (4 babies) b/c I have 4 follies at 13 right now plus they said if we cancel we shouldn't DTD on our own b/c of the high risk of multiples or option #2 is to take 25 IU of follistim tonight and go in for another blood work / U/S tomorrow morning and see if one of those follies has gotten bigger and then see what the dr says. So i'm going to go with option 2 and just see... hate to have to cancel this cycle. So now if they cancel me, which i have a feeling they will, do we risk it and DTD on our own against medical advice and risk it or not? What would you do? We have been trying for like 4 yrs to get prego and it has never happened on our own, so I'm so tempted. We don't even know if all 4 of those eggs would even release is my feeling but then again when they told me i had 3 they were watching and if we trigger the one night we would get one and if we waited for the next night we could get 3 we trigger the first night (to get 1) and ended up with 2. What would you do??? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I had my U/S this am and there was 1 @ 15.5, 2 @ 14 and 1 @ 13. Blood work all came back good and the Dr gave us the okay to trigger tonight and do the IUI on Sunday morning with the warning that we are at risk of multiples!!!! So now I'm just waiting for DH to get home to talk more about it. We will see!!!

Anyone else doing an IUI this weekend???????? Where's everyone at??????????

blueyezz, we are going through similar things right now! DH has been calling me Octomom since this morning's u/s (omg). We now have SIX follicles (I guess one was hiding). 17, 14, 13, 12, 12, and 11 (I think I got that right). We are dialing the dosage way down and going back on Monday to see if we can get the 15 and 14 to hit maturity. However, if all six get mature by then we were told we were taking a chance on multiples. We were also told that this was unlikely based on our history. DH and I both feel like, if we end up with multiples, then we'll see what happens, see if they're all viable, and if we still have multiples at 10-11 weeks we'd be looking at reduction. yikes. I just don't think it's likely, and I feel like we may actually have a shot at one healthy baby this time. Let me know what you guys decide! and

Our update is...nothin' new. We have the RE appt on July 15th. (Our first visit)
I had to go to a new (gp) last week, as I'd been having pain in my side for over a week. Ugh!!
Found out I had a uti, with no "outside" symptoms. So, on cipro and lots of probiotics. Sigh. Just o'd yesterday. Still praying for a miracle.

Wow, what a great month for follicles

and hugs to you, fierrbugg - that really, really sucks.

Yesterday I wasn't sure if I'd somehow ovulated on CD 14 for the SECOND month in a row (usually I'm CD19+), but my sore throat got worse and worse as the day went on, so now I'm pretty sure the temp rise is a low grade fever, not a progesterone surge.

And I didn't figure the OPKs were much use today, what with the three pots of tea I'd had by 5 this afternoon!

I have an appointment with the ob/gyn doctor on Monday.. I'd love to have ovulated by then, although if I'm ovulating regularly + vaguely on time, I'll have a harder time being firm about going the Clomid route...

That sounds stressful. But my thought is that the smaller of those follies probably won't be ready to release an egg at the same time as the larger. My friend did an iui with 6 follies after being offered the option to cancel - she didn't conceive at all that month. There have been a few people post about this recently. One lady had 4 follies and didn't conceive. Adorkable had 4-5 follies and is having twins. Keep us updated!

Good to know I'm not alone...not that I want anyone else to have to go through these trials, but it kinda comes with the territory (ART) I guess. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you Tear78! I did take the trigger shot last night and we will go in tomorrow morning for our IUI. We just figured that we will take one day at a time and since we have been down this road before and we are just hoping that we get one good one to stick! Keep us updated on how everything goes for you on Monday.

I haven't posted here in a while because I just needed a break from the internet altogether. I found out I was pregnant last Wednesday and realized I was miscarrying the next day. That makes four miscarriages now. I guess the only good sign is that I did get pregnant, which is something I wasn't sure could happen anymore. This still just really hurts and is made harder by so many people around me becoming pregnant or deciding to TTC and conceive within a month. Why does it have to be so hard for some of us?

Nikki I am so sorry. I've had one miscarriage and can't imagine going through that multiple times. Do you currently see an RE? I hope you can get some answers of why this is happening.

I'm so sorry for your loss!!! I had the same question as lesliesara63 about the RE??? Sounds like if you have had that many miscarriages they need to do a full work up on you. I think once you have had 3 (which i think is ridiculous that it takes that many) they have to do some testing on you. Keeping you in my thoughts!!! Take care of yourself!!

COURT!!! I've missed you, girl!!! Thanks for rooting for me! I'm so psyched for you guys to try IVF. I've been hanging out with a local support group of gals who are going through that right now, so any questions fire away!

blueyezz, how did your IUI go? My RE isn't open on Sundays. I hope it all went smoothly!

Tear - I will for sure think good thoughts for you tomorrow!!! It is always good to have a cycle buddy so I hope we can cycle together this month!!! Be sure to fill us in after you see your RE. What time is your appt???

IUI went fine this morning. We had 6 million swimmers which is a little low, but okay especially with 4 follies in there that are in the running. Both DH and i are a little freaked out about 4, but hopeful that we will catch one!!! I always feel like I got hit by a truck after each of my IUI's. Just been laying low today and also feeling a little nauseous too, who knows what that is, must be hormonal. We will see. They said to test in 17 days. DH's B-day is on the 28th so i'd love to surprise him with a pos. test for his b-day, but we will see. Fingers crossed!!!!
