The price of yarn was a real eye-opener for me when I started knitting. One of my first projects was a baby blanket. I went to an LYS, and the employee helped me pick out some yarn. I didn't even think to check the price. When she rang up an $88.00 price tag, I sheepishly apologized and walked out of the store yarnless.
