plants/gardening unit study for Kinder?

Oh my gosh, you guys, I am sorry for posting yet another thread. I have been searching for a well laid out unit study for plants. I bought some seeds and herb plants and we are going to plant them and also start seeds in egg cartons.

I would like a few worksheets for Boo to color/cut/paste as well to go along with our study. I can't find anything that is all put together. Suggestions?

(again sorry for so many questions). TIA!

We are using this right now and my son loves it. It takes about me 1 week per section, so about a month total to get through the book

It's kind of pricey, but I have a membership to www.teacherfilebox.com and can download all the books/activites for free with my monthly membership fee.

That is so funny! I am planning a preschool gardening unit for my own son (nickname: Boo!).

Here's some of what's planned:
Go to a local farm & check out animals & how "fertilizer" is made
Spread said fertilizer on our garden
Plant peas, carrots, beans, and onions
He is getting a small gardening space of his own to grow cukes
Poetry about sprouting seeds
He can draw his own imaginary dream garden (that will grow anything)
Checking out baby chicks at a local feed store
Coloring sheets featuring gardens & flowers
Construction paper sunflowers w glued-on seeds
Books on subject
Make a scarecrow with old clothes
Math games with beans & seeds, sorting, counting

Hope this helps out you and your own Boo!

Thank you both! I was hoping for something free I could print out. I've actually been searching all day! I stumbled upon some ideas here and there but I was hoping to find someone who has already done it with pics, etc

You know how you stumble upon those blogs where the mom has gone through a unit study and has posted pics, ideas, resources, etc? I have found some for every subject EXCEPT seeds

I like how some people will put up posters (similar to lapbooks but bigger) on the wall with different pieces of work from their study. I think Boo needs to be able to see his work to reinforce what he's learned.

I mentioned this on my other thread about him learning his letters/sounds. He resists "learning" in the traditional sense. I need to get super creative with new concepts. I'm thinking the more fun and unique I can make the situation, the better he will learn and absorb the info.

Anyway, thanks again
