5 month slump?

Thread Starter
My little guy just turned 5 months old on Sunday (hooray!). He has been exclusively breastfed except for 2 experimental runs with rice cereal. I work outside the home 35 hours a week, and typically pump 2-3 times a day, usually coming home with 2-5 extra ounces that he doesn't need for daycare the next day. He usually take 12 ounces at daycare.

Last week, we all got a spring bug, which I feared would knock my supply down. However, things seemed normal all week, including me hand expressing a few ounces a day since Liam wasn't eating as much. When I came back to work yesterday, I was only able to pump 10 ounces total from 3 pumping sessions - today even less. Liam has been nursing non-stop when we are together. We co-sleep, and he's been eating all night long.

I've heard of the 6 month slump - has it just come a month early for me? What can I do to remedy the situation?

I take B12 every day and am going back to oatmeal for breakfast every day. I have some Mother's Milk tea - should I up my consumption of that? I also drink water pretty much continuously when I'm awake.

My LLL group meets next Thursday, but I'm hoping the MDC community can help me in the meantime.

TIA.
