Would You Expose Yourself to This?

We have a couple kids coming over to our house tonight. The younger girl just got a chicken pox vaccine and has come down with a mild case of it. The older boy was never vaxed for it, so they are running to the dr. today to get him immunized.

I have a 19 month old DD (nursing still) and am in my 2nd trimester. I had wild chicken pox as a child.

Should I have them stay away? If my DD gets them from the kids, would she then be immune to wild chicken pox?

She decided not to bring them over, so I didn't have to make the call. I still have the option of purposefully exposing her to them through these friends though if I want to. Not sure what to do and I haven't had any time to research it either. So if anyone has suggestions or info I would appreciate it!

Yeah I'd like to know the answer too. I'd prefer the wild if I had the choice, but, is there really a difference, and wouldn't something be better than nothing? I don't know how the altered strain would work in terms of permanent immunity, so I'm just listening in

Since this is about illness exposure rather than vaccines I'm moving to H&H.
