Using a FRER?

So I just bought my first FRER and I plan on using it with FMU at 2:30am when I get up to take my thyroid medicine and go to the bathroom.

I was reading the directions and it says to put the stick in your urine stream. I am more comfortable with peeing in a cup. Would it be ok to pee in the cup and then just put the FRER in it for a little while? How would I know how long to leave it in?

Am I supposed to pee a while and then put it in the stream or use the very first pee that comes out? I am afraid I won't get it right if I try to put it in my stream!

Tooooooo Muuuuch Stressssss!

I need some advice from experienced ladies here! I am going to be so bummed if I get a BFN after all this FRER business. At least $tree tests are stress free!

20 seconds (sorry if you read this before I corrected it, I confused myself between peeing on and dipping... pee on for 5, dip for 20)

yes you can use a cup instead, I never peed on my FRERs cuz I would totally miss!

you da best, thanks Mae! I will of course try to figure out how to use the macro on my camera and post a pic if it's a BFP or BFM! That is the setting with a picture of a flower, right?

I'm not real techy and would of course have to figure out how to upload the picture too!

I just really hope I made the right choice to shell out the money for the FRER. We are going on Vacation in two days so it felt a little selfish of me. All our extra cash has been stashed for the trip lately, ya know.

Flower should be "macro" which is what you want.. along with a BFP!

thanks daddym and so cool that you are a guy. Is your wife on here too? My hubbie occasionally looks over my shoulder when I'm on MDC. But other than that he's not to into online forums. He is really into our TTC though, and that's the important part!

so I got a BFN on the FRER this morning.

I left it in the cup for 20 seconds and then afterwards read that I should have left it in the cup for 5 seconds. I think it proably doesn't matter though.

I am expecting AF tomorrow so if it doesn't show I'll use the other test in a few days. ( if I can wait that long ) It's nice that it's a two pack.

I am feeling a little bummed though. Our timing was good, unlike last cycle.

My DH really thinks I'm pregnant and that just makes it even harder.

Hugs, trekkingirl I tested with a FRER this morning and it was negative, too. So I share your disappointment!
