Treating bedtime like naptime!

Hoping some other moms who have BTDT can provide some help/insight. Despite having a pretty solid bedtime routine and ensuring I put DD down when she's showing signs of being tired, she sleeps 30 minutes and NOTHING I do can get her back to sleep.

DH and I have just started bringing her back downstairs with us as we at least then get to spend some time together. We're really at a loss in terms of what we can do to try to extend her sleep. I've even gone to lay with her just before the 30 minute mark to see if I can catch her before she wakes but no luck. She still wakes fully.

She is almost 9 months old and we are at one of the lowest sleep points ever. She's cut her first 2 teeth and is working furiously on learning to crawl but can get around very well doing the army crawl. DH and I are trying to just solider through this time but not even having a few hours in the evening is becoming a challenge.

Any advice? Aside form letting her cry we're will to try anything.

It honestly sounds like what you think is bedtime is just a nap for her & that her next sleep time is her true bedtime. We struggled with this with ds. There was nothing magical we were able to do we just kept working at it & he is finally sleeping solid chunks (really only recently) but bedtime can still be challenging.

The thing I miss the most, hands down, from pre-baby is not having alone time in the evening.
