So I was reading the 2010 in 2010 thread and someone mentioned that they weren't going to bring any new books into the house until her unread books were either given away or read.
Books are my biggest weakness. It also doesn't help that I work Saturdays at a great bookstore with a spectacular employee discount and free lending library of used books in the basement. I hoard books, because I often read books over and over again. I also tend to get books that are useful (Emergency First Aid, Backyard Homesteader, Container Gardening for Dummies, you get the picture) that I don't want to get rid of.
So my challenge to myself and to other bibliophiles is this - no new/used books are to enter the house until #1 - one book leaves the house forever, or #2 - I've read all the books I've already brought in to read...
How does this sound? i'm open to suggestions and tweaks. The main point is to get the book collection under control, one way or another. Anyone willing to join me?
