CM question

Can cm dry up on the day of ovulation instead of after? This is not my usual pattern, but I thought I was O'ing yesterday but didn't have a temp rise this morning. My cervix is still somewhat soft and open/high, but cm is scant and sticky. I guess this could be an annovulatory cycle, which sucks because I had a chemical last cycle and yesterday was the one year anniversary of my miscarriage. Hoping for a temp rise tomorrow, though.

Sometimes there can be a delay in the temp rise following O. That frequently happens to me, where CM dries up a day or two before the temp rise.

CM can dry up the day before O in many cases, because it is optimal to already have the spermies up there waiting rather than doing it after the egg comes along.

Myself personally it would change from EWCM to watery on O day and then go to creamy the next day.

Thanks, MP and Blanca. This gives me some hope. My usual pattern is to dry up the day after O, but I know things can vary sometimes. Guess I'll see what happens in the morning.

So hoping for a rise tomorrow! We BD'd yesterday (plus Friday and Saturday), so at least if I do O today our timing was good. Without EW (and I didn't have a lot this cycle anyway), not going to bother with DTD today--plus we're both worn out!

Yay! I've been having strong O-pains on my right side for the last half hour or so. Cervix is still soft, high, open. No EWCM, more like lotiony, but I feel very good about the pinchy O-pains--yay for pain, lol! I'll be very surprised if I don't have a temp shift in the morning. I've been charting for 3 cycles (with two chemical pregnancies within 4 months TTC ), and ovulated on day 11 3 times and CD12 once. I'm hoping this later O (CD 13 today) means a healthier egg. I've been taking Maca since Feb, and I know that can improve follicular health, so I hope this later ovulation is a reflection of that.
