Trugreen / pesticides

Mods, please move if this isn't the right place for this.

My parents use Trugreen as a lawn service. Last summer, I barely let DD play outside at their house. It just creeps me out. Does anyone have easy to read, reliable links to the ingredients that Trugreen uses? Of course they told my stepmom that their products are safe ... she doesn't much buy it either and only did it last year because my father wanted to.

They also use a white powder around the outside of the house to keep out ants. What is this? My stepmom isn't using it again this year but would like to know what else would keep out carpenter ants. Anyone?

Try contacting the company and ask for their MSDS (material safety data sheets) on the products they are using at your parent's house. They may or may not give them to "you" but I would think that if your parents called and asked for them they would or if you approached them that you were calling on behalf of your parents.

MSD sheets are available online if you know the products name.
