post #141 of 414
* EDD: January 25, 2011
* Your Name: Jen
* Age:33
* State: California
* How long it took to you to get your BFP: Starting trying in September, but got my first pp af back in January, so 4 cycles?
* What number child is this for you: 2
* Family: DH and DD age 2 who is still nursing
* Baby's Gender (hopes or guesses): who knows? Had a dream it was a girl, hoping for a boy.
* Birth Plans/Preferences: Natural birth, water birth. Birth center? Home? Had #1 with a midwife in a hospital and the hospital part stank! Labor stalled after 2 days and needed drugs. Hope to do it differently this time. Just have to convince DH that hospital is not always best.

So excited to be here! woo!

C'est Moi's Introduction

* EDD - due late january, but expecting the baby in early february
* Age - 28
* State or Country - Upper Midwest
* How long it took to you to get your BFP: 1 cycle
* What number child is this for you: 2
* Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): 17 mo DD and 3 yo furry DD
* Baby's Gender (hopes or guesses): no clue. really wanted a girl last time, but now that i have a daughter, i'm really indifferent about gender. a girl-girl or girl-boy combination of siblings sounds so great to me.
* Birth Plans/Preferences: hoping to VBAC
post #143 of 414
* EDD - according to conception 1-24-11, but will most likely be in Feb if this lo is like my others
* Age - 33
* State or Country - SD
* How long it took to you to get your BFP: This one is a suprise (a very welcome one!)
* What number child is this for you: 5
* Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): DH, DD 8yrs old, DD 5yrs old, DS 3yrs old, and DS just turned 1yr old the day after I found out we are expecting! YDS is still nursing around the clock.
* Baby's Gender (hopes or guesses): I'm guessing another boy, everyone else in the family is guessing girl
* Birth Plans/Preferences: hoping to have the closest thing to a homebirth that is legal in this state (have to cross the border and go to a birth house), but dh is not for that at all, so we shall see.

I hope it's ok is I join here and Feb, as I'm due in Jan, but lo will probably be born in Feb

* EDD: January 25, 2011
* Your Name: Sarah
* Age: 28
* State: Okinawa, Japan
* How long it took to you to get your BFP: Got my first PPAF in November 09
* What number child is this for you: 3
* Family: DH, DD Tess- 3, and DD Lucy- 19 months, still nursing.
* Baby's Gender (hopes or guesses): who knows? My friend had a dream it's a boy, I'm a little scared of having a boy after two girls!
* Birth Plans/Preferences: Natural birth, in hospital . I do not qualify for the very selective midwife here (rH, previous large babies) and she is the only one who attends homebirths on the island. This is stressing me out.

* What number child is this for you: 3
* Family: Finance, Thomas and DS (11), and DD (almost 5 months )

Hi ladies! Sorry I'm kind of late introducing myself

EDD: January 22? January 23? January 25? January 26? These are all answers I got from due date calculators (haven't been to a prenatal appointment yet, I just started week 6). I got these different answers depending on what calculator I used and whether I put the date of my LMP or date of ovulation. I ovulated on day 12, so I don't fit into the 'perfect' cycle.

Your Name: You can just call my Fyvel

Age: 30

State or Country: FL

How long it took to you to get your BFP: 2 months. The first month we messed up and didn't get the timing right (I was charting and my ovulation temp rise surprised me by being earlier than expected and by then it was too late). The second month I got ovulation test kits and I guess you could say they worked pretty well because it took!

What number child is this for you: Number 1

Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): Hubby, 3 cats and a dog

Baby's Gender (hopes or guesses): No idea. I'm hoping for a boy but will be happy with a healthy baby of any gender

Birth Plans/Preferences: As natural as possible. We're looking at birth centers and hoping one will take me despite my health issues

EDD: FF gave me 12/31/10, but the dating u/s says 1/1/11 so I'll go with that!

Name: Lacy

Age: 35

Location: Sacramento, California

How long it took: 4 months of charting, down from 10 months with DS

What number child: 2

Family: DH Chris (35), DS Jakob (turned 2 on 4/17) and pets - 2 cats and 1 parrot

Gender preferences/inklings: Slight boy preference, but too early for inklings. I still have a niggling fear of having a girl since I had/have such an awful relationship with my mom, but I also know it could be really different and wonderful.

Birth plans/preferences: Still up for debate between a VBAC and a repeat-C. I had a hugely traumatic first birth experience, PROM followed by four days of labor, followed by an emergency C, which resulted in an inadequately treated infection entering the bloodstream, traveling, and becoming five new infections. I almost died from a collapsed lung and pneumonia. I have PTSD from the experience, and will most likely schedule a repeat C to maximize my control over the situation, and to avoid a repeat of the labor with eventual repeat-C, which is common with VBACs.

The extended second hospitalization interfered with establishing breastfeeding, but I persevered, and am still nursing my 25 month old son.

i would always go of your Ovulation date as long as it was determined by good charting or a trigger shot. what date was day 12 for you?

Hello, all! I just had to let everyone know that yesterday at 6w1d, I got to see and hear my baby for the first time. I was so surprised that I got to hear the heartbeat. The baby is where it is supposed to be, measuring perfectly for 6w1d and its little heart is beating a whopping 120bpm. I'm in love! It was truly the most awesome experience ever!
