Well, she's not a kitten, she's full grown. About 3 or 4 years old. She's a little girl though. Beautiful medium haired coat mostly gray, and bright green eyes. She's got one of the best personalities I've seen on a cat. She's adjusting beautifully and loving our family. We rescued her from a local shelter after meeting with her a couple of times. She took to my DP right away and when we brought her into the visiting room she was all over us with love and affection. She's already making herself at home: picking her favorite spots and waiting for us at the door when she hears us coming in. She's perfectly house trained and hasn't had any problems finding her litter box. We're starting out right with good habits. She's not allowed in our bedrooms or up on counters and we've gotten her a scratching post right away and are discouraging her from using anything but. I'll have to brush her everyday because she's quite the shed-er, but I'm thinking that will calm down a bit once her stress level lowers.

The one and only question I have is about her eating habits. She's a wee one, about 6 pounds, petite frame. But it seems like since the moment we've been home she's been eating non stop. I bought some all natural food that she seems to like. I've been giving her a little less than a cup at a time, but I've been filling her dish 3 times a day. Does that sound like a lot of food? It just seems like quite a bit to me for such a little girl. She's totally indoor, so I'm also worried about her activity level being too low to work that food off. What would you guys recommend as a good amount of food to start with? If her tummy deals well with this brand, I'm thinking about adding some wet food in the mornings as well. Any thoughts?
