DH's Vegas business trip w/ 2 & 5 yr. old?

My DH is supposed to go to Vegas for a long weekend in the fall for a trade show. He'd probably be occupied in the mornings and maybe early afternoons. His business will pay for his airfare and room. I'm trying to decide whether to come too w/ our kids who'll be just turned 2 and 5 1/2 yrs.

I'm thinking about staying at the Excalibur, I stayed there as a teenager w/ my parents so I know the layout, know that they have an arcade/kids area with plenty of room to run and a family friendly pool. My husband could take the shuttle to the conference center.

The problem is I'm not sure I feel comfortable being on my own that long in Vegas w/ both kids. Have any of you ever done anything like this?

My Dad loves Vegas and I was sure that he'd probably come too (he has a great relationship w/ my kids) but after his last trip he felt claustrophobic (sp?) on the plane and swore he'd never fly again. So, that leaves just me and DH.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

I would go for it. I have never been to Vegas but anytime there is a trip that required DH to be away with his old job, we went too.

And if the Excalibur has a family friendly pool that could easily take up your days!!!! Fun!

also check out the Circus Circus hotel - it's geared towards kids.

and, i would still ask you dad to come with you guys. he may change his mind about not flying again.
