Sharp pains at 33 weeks

Anyone know what's going on with this?

I've been getting really sharp pains on the top middle of my pelvic bone. It's sharp and painful enough to take my breath away.

Is the baby's head just hitting this spot, and if so how do I get him/her to stop and move into a new position? Or is this a different version of SPD, which I had during my last trimester? Anyone out there have any ideas?

That's what I'm trying to figure out. They aren't contractions, or BH. The baby's moving a lot - in fact it's usually what starts the pains. I don't have any other pre-labor signs, but last week I did lose two small bits of mucus plug. Not too worried about that either. Just wondering if maybe the baby's trying to get into a better position and just banging it's head on my pubic bone...regardless, it hurts a lot, and I was hoping that someone might know what was going on in there!

my guess would be SPD... I don't know a lot about it but we were talking about it last week at my midwife group class and it sounds like there are many variations.

I think it can be a sign of effacing? According to my Mayo Clinic Guide to Pregnancy, our cervixes will start thinning soon.

Is it inside or more in the bone? Maybe in the bone it's a new variation of SPD.
