Anybody have both suprises and find out at the u/s - Page 2

I found out with 1-3, and am not finding out with 4 b/c lots of people say the surprise is so fun. But to be honest, we are having a hard time bonding with the baby, or thinking of it as real at all. Most of the time, I forget I am pg (and I am 5 months and visibly so.) Dh hates all boy names I propose, b/c he wants another girl so bad; I can only think about boy names b/c that's what I think it is, and I don't know if the surprise is good for us. The only reasons I haven't just given up and found out are that I don't have insurance right now and don't want to pay out of pocket, and also b/c I am afraid of being disappointed if the gender is not the one dh or I want.

We found out with #1 and #2. I REALLY wanted to know, very much so and couldn't have fathomed waiting. However, we now have a daughter and a son, and all the assorted clothes and things. This is our last expected pregnancy, and I wanted very much to be surprised. Despite DH's reluctance, he respected my wishes and didn't complain (too much). I wasn't the least bit tempted during my u/s, ok, maybe just a bit , but I was very glad we didn't find out! 20 more weeks until we know! I had agreed though, that if we had twins we would find out. I would need time to wrap my mind around that! Best of luck Annettemarie!

We're struggling with finding out. We kept it a surprise with DS, which was fun, but I'm curious about this one, since it's the last one. Also, since DS is almost 4, he keeps talking about his "baby sister." I'd like him not to be disappointed if it's a boy, so it may be better for him to know.

Also, either way we can re-use a lot of DS's stuff, but knowing in advance would let us prepare emotionally. (I am nervous about the possibility of having a girl... I'm not very "girly.")
