Baby August was born at 6:09pm on 4/24. 9lb7oz, 21.5in long 14.5" head circ.

Born vaginally after a 44hr unmedicated labor. Left the water to push, spent a little less than an hour pushing. I have 2nd degree tears, periurethral tears (ouch!!) and some serious vulvar bruising... we had brief shoulder dystocia, resolved with the McRoberts maneuver, fundal pressure and me pushing like a banshee. I love my midwife.

We're all recovering well. Gus is a champion nurser and is already back on track to return to birth weight.

YEah! I'm glad you got to use August because that was my boy name and I had a girl! I LOVE that name!
