Brown Sugar Pop-tarts. It was DH's dirty little secret that he liked to give her bites while I was sleeping in on Sunday mornings...

Ds2 has food sensitivities, so everything he's eaten has been fine. (he eats rice puffs, so not much nutrition, but I don't consider it bad at all).

Ds1, however, got a few bites of a haagen daaz bar when he was, oh, 7-8 months old

I am not too worried about this. She gets lots of tastes of lots of "bad" stuff . . . but also lots of good stuff. I did feel a little weird feeding her chocolate pudding this week - but she really liked it and her brothers were both eating it too. My attitude is that if the predominant part of our diets are healthy, it's not good for me to stress about it.

Dog food Every time it is down when she is in the room, she crawls over to it like there is chocolate cake on the ground. She will be 1 in 3 weeks, so she will have her first taste of chocolate cake and buttercream icing that day. I am going to introduce eggs the week before.

Us too! I felt bad doing it the first time and DH said, "It's not like we eat like this all the time. It's a treat for us so why should he have to sit and be hungry until we get home?"

I get a small scoop of fresh sorbet at the farmer's market every week. Unless it's a nut based flavor, I typically let my son have a tiny taste.

Occasionally, if he really likes a flavor (lemon lavender's the big hit so far), then I'll let him have a bigger bite.

I came home once to my DH giving my DS butter with sugar.

I don't usually worry too much about tastes of food, either--I just try to offer him balanced meals *most* of the time. That said, he has had tastes of ice cream (which he hated), a few sips from a strawberry smoothie that the guy at the store promised me had no sugar, but instead it had artificial sweetener (ick!), and a slice of apple pie at thanksgiving. The pie was vegan (he hadn't had dairy yet at that point) and homemade, so it was basically flour, sugar, and apples, but still...

Oh, and dog food...sand...mulch...leaves...etc.

Ds1 (age 3) gave ds2 a lick of hersheys chocolate syrup off of his finger. Ds2 is only 9wks old!

Otherwise, I don't worry about food all that much. Though we found out the hard way that Ds1 LOVES beer and vodka (not together.) Now dh can only drink them when Ds1 is asleep.

Ahem. I'd like to update... We had concrete poured today, and went out and attempted to get the boys' hand prints in it (a bit too late - it was already pretty hard... never knew concrete set that quick!), and uhm... DS2 stuck his hand in his mouth while covered with concrete. So yeah. Worst thing ds2 has eaten to date? Concrete!
