Missing a tooth?

Just wondering if this is anything to be concerned about. DS is almost 17 mo old and he has 11 teeth - four top incisors and two top molars, three bottom incisors and two bottom molars. The seven incisors came in when he was 8 mos old, then the molars when he was 14 mos old.

His bottom right incisor is MIA and there's no sign that it is coming.

Is this weird or do some just teeth lag behind the rest? I haven't taken him to the dentist yet.

Could be either. Sometimes teeth come in all kinds of crazy orders, and I don't think missing teeth are all that uncommon either.

My permanent top lateral incisors never came in and I still have my baby teeth there. It hasn't been a problem yet, and it is not something that is noticable. And apparently not having canines runs in my DF's family - my MIL is missing two, and my BIL all four I think. But DD has gotten all of hers.

Either way I really wouldn't stress too much about it.
