Dang it!! My dryer broke, leaving me with a pile of wet diapers...

...and since I live in the great Northwest, I can't hang them outside because it's pouring rain!

It's all pocket diapers and inserts (microfiber, hemp fleece). The dryer broke last night, so after the wash, I hung all the diapers on clothes pins attatched to hangers and hung them in the door frame on the laundry room.

This morning when I checked on them, all the diapers are dry, but the inserts are still super wet! My concern is that mildrew is going to start growing if I don't get them dry soon. Is this a valid concern?? How can I get them dry? A hair dryer?

Those microfiber things do take forever to dry, they are so not realistic to wait around to air dry. I'm not sure if they'll mildew though. If this becomes a long-term issue, I can recommend folded up birdseye flats (2 together) as inserts - the cheap gerber ones are fine for that and they wash and dry easily.

a fan (just a regular fan like you might use in summer) pointed at them will make a HUGE difference. My folks have a camp in a really humid area and I have dried microfiber inserts indoors there, with a fan, they're usually done in a few (like 3-4) hours. Without it's more like 24 hrs. If your laundry room is in the basement, I'd put them somewhere else, since basements tend to be humid, which extends drying time

Thanks We're going to go tomorrow evening and get a new dryer (a new washer and dryer, actually - I'm excited!!) so hopefully this won't be a long term issue!

If it were me (and it has been...) I'd just hop in the car and run to the nearest laundromat.
