what should i do with these covers?

i have a few covers with leaky spots on them, is there any way to re waterproof them?

also i have a bunch of bummis super whisper wraps with alpix that don't hold together anymore. it's frustrating because they have only been used for about 6-9 months. i always use the laundry tabs but they don't hold very well. the covers otherwise are fine, no leaky issues but they end up coming undone shortly after being put on. was thinking of using pins or sewing new velcro on them as we have another baby who will use them, hopefully.

we did get a few new thirsties dou wraps with snap instead of alpix to avoid this probem in the future although i hope the snaps dont cause runs in the covers as they did with my bum genius'.

if i can't re waterproof them, what do i do with covers that are no good anymore?

You could probably sew a patch over the leaky spots using PUL. You should (hopefully) be able to find it at JoAnns or Hancock Fabrics. I haven't seen it at my JoAnn's yet, but it is in the utility cloth section. Just make sure to use 100% polyester thread. Same with replacing the aplix, use a 100% polyester thread.
