I guess great minds think alike I just put a hold on the The Tales of My Father's Dragon- we read the first one and loved it and have been waiting forever for other book to come in to read the other two!

My dd (7) loves this story. We've never done a lapbook, but I think she would love it. Can you give me an idea of how to do it? Would I just go through all those links and print them out on regular sized paper? And then she puts it together based on the instructions below?

I've only tired one and my DS was not into it -- he is not that long term, or wasn't then.

I would print the stuff out, and let her color it as you read the chapters. I tried to read something then have him color it afterwards while talking about the events -- maybe your DD would get that apparch?

I would let her put them togeth how she wants -- or how you think is easy for a first time -- poster, time line, scrap books ...
