hi! i am new to this so bare with me. my dd has a rash on her arms and legs pretty bad. it is like little bumps all over. she has some of the same bumps sporadically on her chest and thighs but not as bad as the legs and arms. i have been dairy free off and on since her birth nov. 1st and she is EBF, we haven't started solids. she doesn't seem to have any other symptoms of a food allergy. poos are good and she isn't overly fussy. she is gaining weight, has great color, crawling, sitting, pulling up, etc.

so i guess my question is........ is this a dairy thing? should i elim. wheat and soy too. are there any good sources/threads with pics of skin related allergy rashes? i need to figure this out before solids, right? TIA

could it be keratosis pilaris? you might look that up. it's a supposedly benign rash, but i know for some kids it is worse when they are exposed to allergens.

DD tested allergic to dairy and soy. But the only things we really notice with her now is that if she gets either of those things, her KP gets a lot worse.

can you get more specific on the rash? is it constant, or does it "flare up?" have you looked into types of mastocytosis??

hi mama,
it is like little bumps all over. they seem to be concentrated on her lower arms and lower legs. she does have them on the upper parts of her legs and arms, and the trunk of her body, but no as bad. at times they seem to be going away but other times they get a little inflamed. she doesn't seem to be itching them, and i don't think it bothers her. to be safe we are taking her to her doc. tomorrow. i see you are in asheville, we use family to family, so i hope they can give me some insight to what this is. i am about 5 days wheat/dairy free, so hopefully i can figure this out. thanks for writing.
