Can you tell me about these? We found out we're expecting twins (!!!!) and I'm going to need to double our diapering system.

I've not tried either, but I've read that a lot of people were loving the Flip! I think that the Econobum was just getting so-so reviews, overall.
I like the idea of the flip- I was doing something similar for a while- just "trifolding" a flat diaper in a cover. That's basically what the system is, but you have an "insert" that fits properly inside a one size cover.
The only thing is that I don't think it fits very well until about 10lbs (like most OS diapers).

We looked at the econobum packs at a recent baby expo and decided against them as they felt very cheap and plastic-y to us.
We also looked at the Flips and they seemed much nicer/better quality to us. We've since ordered two of the day packs but haven't got them yet. We went with the microfibre insert though as the other option (organic cotton) just seemed like a little prefold. They also have a disposable insert option.
This blog has a review/comparison of both systems.

I really like my Flip diapers. I started using cloth when my DS was 3 months old. I started with gDiapers but they irritated his skin. About a month or so later I switched to the Flip system. I have four covers and 8 liners that are supposed to go with it and 6 from the gDiapers(I bought cloth for the gDiapers instead of the sposie inserts) A smaller insert seemed better to use with the flip until he was big enough for the large size..When i folded the one size insert the way i was supposed to it would leak out the sides. I no longer have that problem now that it is full length. I just recently bought AIO Bumgenius 3.0. I love how easy they are. You don't have to stuff them either. I love how easy they are on the go witch you might like better for twins. The only down side is you have to buy them by size. It wasn't a problem for me as my boy is in size large already with lots of room to grow. If you bought the one size you would need to stuff them...that may not be all bad though if you stuffed them ahead of time...Or maybe you could do it how i do and use both
sorry for the book hope this helps...

The econobum cover is a lot more sturdy than it initially feels. I think it is actually a nice budget cover. it only has one row of waist snaps, which kind of annoys me, but that's just a cosmetic thing, doesn't seem to affect function. I'm not a prefold tri-folder; I just personally don't like that method. And I don't even care that much for prefolds (I prefer flats if I go that route), but the econobum prefold is soft and versatile as far as prefolds go. Overall, I think the econobum package is a good stash builder for the price.
Flips... I have to say I like my Flips. I don't love them, though. The stay-dry inserts are decent enough, but don't hold poo up well. And they are good for one big pee or two small pee, and then they bunch up. The key is very frequent changes. The organic insert is soft and lovely, but again, I'm not into tri-folding. The elastic in my Flips seems to be loosening up a tad, and I have had them for 4 months, and I only hang them to dry. They still work just fine, but I wonder about lasting 2+ years. Since the Flip system is pricier than the econobum, I am a bit more strict in my judgement of it.
I do think there are better, stronger systems out there that can be purchased on a budget and fit a variety of sizes, but if you can get a good deal and you need something to supplement your stash, these two systems could do the job.
