Double Stroller...ahhh

OK here is what I want:
Lighter and more compact when folded than a Graco Duorider
Big/sturdy enough for walks to the park
A handle bar instead of the two curved handles on umbrellas
A handle bar that is at a normal height not really low like on umbrellas
5 point harness or really good 3 point harness
Costs less than $200.00

I have a Duo rider and it is too heavy to lift into the van several times a day and takes up all of my cargo space in the van but the umbrella stroller is too flimsy on walks when the sidewalk is bumpy and then handles are too low to be comfortable. I just want something in between than doesn't cost $500
My twins are 8 months so it doesn';t need to fit infant seats. I don't jog Anyone have experince with the Graco Double Quatrro, The Kombi Twinsport, or the kolcraft contour double?

I don't know if the harness would be "really good" or how much it costs now, but we had an Aria Twin and it's very light, has the handlebar, seemed to do OK on walks to the park (assuming you're not going over rough terrain - just sidewalks) and was so easy to get in/out of my trunk or up/down steps (empty).

Try looking on your local Craigslist. I see tons of doubles on there at pretty good prices.

I have a peg perego double and love it. It's side by side, skinny enough to fit through most doors, and very light. It folds easily and very flat, so it fits even in my mom's tiny hatchback.

The Evenflo Take Me Two? (they came out about 6 years back, not sure if they're still around however I do see them on Kijiji once in a while)
I researched the heck out of this one, but unfortunately it wasn't available in my area.
I've known people who have had them and heard no complaints.
They supposedly fold smaller than the Duoglider.

Oh, and also, I saw one a few years back in a cosignment store, it looked just like a Peg Pliko but was a tandem...it did have the curved handles, but they were adjustable in length.
It was super light.
This was in the US so there must be simaler one around?

City Mini Duo. It has everything you want except for the less than $200 part...but I often see them used around here.

I loved my Peg Perego Aria Twin too! Had all the features you requested. Very durable -- lived through my two twins! I think I paid $300+ brand new, but I was able to re-sell it on Craig's List for $100 two years later. The only thing I didn't like was that the overhead sunscreens didn't really cover much. But I bought an attachable sunshade (from amazon, I think) and that did the trick. Oh, and it is not all-terrain. Good luck!

another vote for the peg perego aria twin. it folds up super small. we have a 95 odyssey with an almost nonexistant trunck and this fits fine. we managed to score one on craigslist for $50.
