So now I have a new problem. I really hope it can be fixed.

For some reason my body is target my thighs especially to lose fat. Well now I have this ugly saggy looking skin on my thighs. It's making me really self conscious. It looked better when it was filled in with fat! Dh says I should fill it in with muscle instead so I started doing a higher weight on the abducter machine to build more muscle. Is there anything else I can do? Is this going to happen to the rest of my body as I lose weight?? Im 31 years old. Will my skin still be able to bounce back?

Sorry I haven't checked in and this isn't really official because I can't get to the gym where I usually weigh. I've been sick and draggy and don't want to over-stress my body. However, according to my home scale I weigh either 149 or 150 - so either a 1 or 2lb loss over almost 2 weeks. The good news is that even without working out (or tracking that well), I seem to consistently be losing even if it's small amounts. I'm down to the last 10lbs, which is cool, though I think I'll probably end up going for more. I'm basically at a point where I eat fairly comfortably but I still lose weight because I'm nursing - I think I'm losing because my son has been on a major nursing-kick. So I can keep losing slowly for a while and then as he nurses less probably maintain with about what I'm doing, perhaps with a little more food allowed.

I tried on a size 6 yesterday and it fit but tight. Didn't buy it but I can see my end goal in sight. Pretty soon I'm going to shift towards more focus on strength and muscle and body composition because my legs are still big, my tummy is still poofy and I could use a little more definition. So getting to my original goals but finding new ones.

Hi FoxintheSnow!

Congrats on your weight loss!

I have read several times that loose skin will tighten over time to some extent. I think patience is in order -- as with all things related to weight loss!

I also wanted to say that if you want to build muscle in your thighs, you can try squatting and deadlifting and lunges with dumbbells. Free weights are your friend, and will have your muscles a bit bigger in just a few months! I started in February, have lifted heavy only once a week (for like 30 minutes -- easy!), and my muscles are noticeably stronger and better-defined.

WooHoo Bronxmom! The last 10 pounds is always fun. I just finished watching the Last 10 Pounds Bootcamp marathon on tv. Hmmmm....maybe I should have be out exercising; at least I didn't eat chocolate cake while watching.

Here is my check in:
Starting weight: 204.6 lb
April 26: 203.4 lb
May 3: 204.0 lb
May 10: 204.2 lb
May 17: 202.2 lb
May 24: 202.0 lb
May 31: 200.0 lb

change this week: -2.0 lb
total change: -4.6 lb

Goal #1: 199 by May 31
Goal #2: 194 by June 27
Goal #3: Try-a-tri in August in less than 1:10
Final goal: 135 lb

Damn! Missed my goal by 1 lb!! I aim to catch up by the end of June. That means 6 lbs in the next 4 weeks. I think I can do it. NO! I WILL do it! I'm off today to pick up my new (to me) jogging stroller. Hoping to get back out running with the LO. Also need to start back with some strength training which I have been neglecting over the last 3 or so weeks. The eating has been going better this week but there is always room for improvement!

Hope everyone else has a good check in.

I weighed myself on Monday to find nothing had changed for the third week in a row and I just did not come to post because it was too depressing. BUT, I got AF yesterday and so I weighed myself this monring just out of curiosity and I finally hit my first goal! Yay!

Week Two, April 26th: 245
Week Three, May 4th: 242

Week Five, May 18th: 240
Week Six, May 24th: 240
Week Seven, June 2nd: 239

Where did everyone go?

I usually do my check in on Mondays, but I had to be out at a meeting at 7:30 yesterday and forgot to weigh myself before I left. I waited until this morning to do so:

Starting weight: 204.6 lb
April 26: 203.4 lb
May 3: 204.0 lb
May 10: 204.2 lb
May 17: 202.2 lb
May 24: 202.0 lb
May 31: 200.0 lb
June 8: 198.8

change this week: -1.2 lb
total change: -5.8 lb

Goal #1: 199 by May 31
Goal #2: 194 by June 27
Goal #3: Try-a-tri in August in less than 1:10
Final goal: 135 lb

I made my first goal! A week late, but I still made. I actually skipped right over 199 and ended up at 198.8! So that means 4 pounds in 3 weeks to make my next goal.

Picked up my new jogging stroller yesterday. Now I just have to figure out how to put it together. I'm really hopping to get back out running by the end of the week!

I lost one more pound this week -- down to 238. Happy to have gone lower but the loss is slow right now so I am a little frustrated.
