(((Mollie)))

No longer in the 2ww. I'm on cycle day 1. Hoping to break out some alcohol on Memorial Day for a special night.

#1 - 7#6oz (41 &5)
#2 - 6#13 (40) - and she is still tiny. She takes after her paternal grandma
#3 - 8#3 (41)
#4 - 8#10 (41 &5)
#5 - 8#6 (41 &2)

Mine bounce around, but in general have gotten bigger.

Big babies.........

#1 dd- 9lbs 5oz (40w)
#2 dd- 10lbs 2oz (39w3d)
#3 dd- 5lbs 4 oz (40w3d=stillborn-heartdefect, growth-restiction)
#4 ds- 11 lbs (39w3d)
#5 dd- 9lbs 8oz (40w4d)

No gestational diabetes or other health issues, just big babies. All labors started naturally (with the exception of my dd3, we encouraged labor because we knew she died).

My son, who was the largest was the fastest birth, 2 hours from first contraction to holding him!

Hey, Sam (or anyone else with real life twin experience, LOL!)-- can you give me the low down on this whole twins thing? I'm slowly finding stuff out like they might make me have NSTs every week/every other week after a certain point and that some people said they could no longer fit in the car to drive after 33 weeks. I keep waiting to feel calmer as time goes on, but instead I am getting more and more freaked out.
Sorry for the worry annettemarie...I have friends who have had twins with midwifery care and it wasn't like that at all. They both planned homebirths, and were treated like regular healthy pregnant women!! One ended up transporting (non emergency) and one had their babies at home. Twins is just a variation of normal.
Unfortunately, a homebirth is out for me. I have limited choices to begin with and our last midwife kind of flaked out and now DH is no longer comfortable with having another homebirth. Plus we're nestled in a valley in the middle of the mountains with no NICU.

Hi Annette,

First of I did have lots of tests throughout my pregnancy as I was over 40, 8th pregnancy, had high blood pressure and Bronte my last baby was born prematurely and they thought my twins would be also early.

The one test we didn't do was amniocentesis.

I was my freaked out more with my twin pregnancy more than and other pregnancy besides my first.

All 9 of my babies have been naturally in the hospital.

With all my pregnancies, I don't think I stop worrying until the baby/babies are in my arms and I can see they are breathing and ok.

Edited to add: did you see this thread in the multiples forum: http://www.mothering.com/discussions....php?t=1225426

The flip side of having a big family. I usually love how they all work together. Today, it seemed like everyone was against everyone else. I am swiped! No one did their chores properly and the OLDEST! He didn't even do his schoolwork! I was shocked. And even more exhausted

Around here it's either all quiet on the western front, or there's a tornado that's sweeping us all up and sending us into a chaotic whirlwind!!

Lately the weather's been so crazy- hail, rain, hot and sunny like summer, snow- all within a couple of days. I feel like the kids are mimicking the fluctuation in their behavior. And that there is only two weeks left of school isn't helping, I'm sure! They are so hyper!!
#1 7 lb. 13 oz. (41 and 1)
#2 7 lb. 15 oz. (39 and 4)
#3 7 lb. 4 oz (39 and 4)
#4 8 lb. 8 oz (39 and 3)

And #3 the the biggest for her age now!

I feel our kids' temperament is volatile now too. It's light late these days and we've had visitors and birthdays galore, both of which mean later bedtimes. Weather has been steady here, though.

sorry you guys are having a rough time, but I'm glad it's not just me. I'm stuck on my back a lot and the kids are as nuts as I am over it!

How are you going Annette?
I'm trying to sort of put myself on bedrest (when I can!) b/c my sacroiliac joints are hurting so bad. ouch! We also have chicken pox, throwing up and cold with sore throat in the house at the moment. Isn't it always something?! I hope my hope of "everything will be better when it's warm and summer!" isn't delusional!

I just had the sweetest conversation with my 9 yr old daughter this morning, about how when she graduates from high school she'll have a brother in college (maybe?), a brother in high school, a brother in middle school, and a brother in elementary school clapping for her and celebrating her! It was such a cool thought! I hope they are still close when they're older!

Still freaked out. Seriously, I am having a lot of fear and anxiety right now. I think I get 6 free counseling sessions through insurance and I am going to find someone to talk with on Monday. This is all kicking my OCD into overdrive and I feel like a horrible person for not just being happy. I am happy. I just have all this extra crap along with it.

Thanks for asking though.

Hi all!

I've not been around much & have missed you ladies. The weather is nutty here too, Jenny. Rain & snow with highs in the 40s one day, then 75 & gorgeous the next. Spring fever is getting to me in that I don't want to do school work with the kids anymore. I'm ready for summer break! I had been thinking of working through the summer with them, but it's probably not going to happen.

Alder has his standardized testing this Thursday. He's nervous about it, but I'm trying to focus on the fact that he'll be testing with other homeschoolers his age. I think he's excited about that since he doesn't meet many other kids. We did the practice testing a few weeks ago & I'm pretty sure he'll be fine.

Elm is growing like a weed and such a sweet little guy. It's funny because after #4 was born I was happy with the thought of being done, now that #5 is here, I'm already thinking #6.. Though that is IT. 6 is it. I swear.

So many babies are coming this year! I have 2 friends at 40 weeks right now, and another friend who is close to 20 weeks with her first after thinking she might not be able to have children. She's talking about coming to stay with us during her birth month and having the baby here. Plus a 4th friend is newly pregnant & the midwife I did a little apprenticing with is due next month. Babies babies babies!

Anyhoo, hope all is well & good with you ladies. And I have a question for the Oregonians~ How is the aquarium in Newport? We're planning our summer getaway and Chris is pushing to go to Montana but I really want to go to Newport.

Survived ballet weekend with 3 of my girls. Oh they did such a great job! Made this mama tear up!

On Thursday my mom is coming for the day because C is getting an EGD and her tonsils out. She has to go under general anesthetic and will stay overnight. None of the kids has ever had surgery before so I don't know what to expect. I'm trying to line up a few things to bring along for me and her. She has all of the food allergies too so I'm planning on bringing some of her favorite soft foods along too.

Hi Kat! I think the Newport aquarium is great. After going there, I went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and I was like "this isn't really any better than Newport" but it's spendier. It's not crowded so the kids have space and time to really check things out. They have yurts up there at Beverly Beach State Park I think, which is a very family friendly park. And the town of Newport is kind of fun- lots of fishing boats and crabbing and such. There's the Rogue Brewery. And along the coast up to there are tons of cool little beach spots to stop and run and picnic- one with tons of seals. We haven't been that way in a while. What's there for little kids to do and see in Montana??

Best wishes for your daughter's surgery mclisa! I wish my daughter wanted to do ballet- I loved it as a kid. She's not into it.

Still here and lurking because i've been so sick with this pregnancy getting on the desktop sends me into dry heaves. My house is disgusting,my poor dog has matts in her fur and my oldest has missed a couple of days of school because I was too sick to take him.I have actually been trying to get them to consider me high risk so that I can get more help.My other pregnancies I had to fight to be treated normally.
The rays of light are:
My inlaws were here during my first trimester and DH had taken time off so between them all they took care of the kids and the chores. My DH has really stepped up and is learning to cook and has not made me feel like I am a horrible wife/mother dealing with this.he has also organized our two older ones to be more responsible and help out more.I am 22 weeks so over halfway and we found out it's a girl. She of course looks very heatlhy in spite of my being so sick. Our DD is super excited.
