Distractibility, fast nursing...

So, my twins just turned 6 months and we've been near 90% breastmilk only since about 2 months! Kepler still gets about 4 oz of formula a day, though he probably doesn't *need* it. Tycho is still refusing bottles. We did recently start solids, which are going well, but we're taking that pretty slowly for fear of weight drop off and early weaning.

Speaking of early weaning, my boys are incredibly distracted these days. I know that's pretty normal, but I'm starting to get worried they're not eating enough. This is compounded with what to me looks like faster nursing sessions (like 10 minutes of actual nursing, really?!) and I'm really nervous.

I've tried nursing in the quietest, most boring room in the house. I've tried covering up. But still, it's pop on pop off ad nauseum. Laugh at mama, arch around to look at some speck floating in the air. Who knows. When DH is home, I can nurse them individually and that helps, but when I'm alone that's near impossible.

Is it possible they're not hungry as frequently? We still nurse every 2 hours, just because I enforce the schedule. Could I maybe start pushing that further apart and see how it goes?

So... someone reassure me, any been theres? I'm worried about my supply tanking because of this, but I haven't felt engorged or anything, and their wet diapers continue to be good, so all signs point to OK I guess.

As long as they are still wetting and seem satisfied I wouldn't worried too much. They may just be getting more efficient. DD was always a speed nurser no matter what I did. Ten minutes was a really LONG time for her. I would just keep offering like you are!
