Yes I was charting.. the only ultrasound I had was the 20 week one to check organs etc, I didn't need it to confirm dates, but the date they happened to give me while I was there was a bit earlier than my charting date.. so that date would put me safely in homebirth timing while the other one would not.

Well anyway, I woke up in the middle of the night multiple times with more back pain.. ended up at the hospital.. I have a UTI again.. they increased my antibiotic dose and sent me home.. since my problem has been diagnosed and a plan of action has been set in motion, I think I will opt out of the OB appt for today and get some rest if I can...

Hey guys, would you mind giving me your advice on something? I'm really conflicted about it.

Here's the deal. I have a sono scheduled for next Thursday. I called today to possibly cancel it. My reasoning isn't very logical, I'm starting to get superstitious about the early sonos. Every time I've had one, I've had a loss. With Garrison I didn't have one because I had moved and didn't get into anywhere until 10 weeks when I heard his heartbeat via doppler.
That's crazy right?!

I could know next Thursday. One way or the other. I want to know, because I don't want to sit in this unknowing state for 10 weeks. I'm trying to figure out what my gut is telling me here, the problem is I keep going back and forth.

I did basically have a panic attack last time I went in for the sono. So there's a con. When I think about it, skipping the sono seems to be the least stressful of the two.

Would monitoring progesterone be a strange thing to ask? hCG has always been fine it seems to always be the progesterone that tells the tale.

I would go. I am superstitious as well and nearly had a panic attack the week I lost my first (of this year) because of being due so close to when I was due with that baby... but that ultrasound would be able to tell me more than monitoring progesterone or hcg possibly could. (not to say dont monitor the progesterone, if you have a problem its best to know)

Right now... the situation is what it will be. Having the ultrasound wont change that.

I agree.

Update on me (I don't think I did one): back pain got worse, so i went to OB triage two nights ago.. I have an infection, they increased my antibiotic dose and sent me home. Midwife kind of freaked out and has put me on partial bedrest for the next 5 days... and has me drinking a variety of horrible (but apparently good for me) concoctions.. I threw up this morning.

Dp's last day at work is Friday. Counting down the days until we BOTH are home full time.

I am getting a lot of sleep.

Pictures of Elliott.

Day #3: so sleep-deprived but absolutely worth it.

starkyld - CONGRATS and thanks for sharing! He's so cute!!!! (Oh, and if I remember from your other post, my DD was the exact same weight at birth!)

AFM - I only have time for a quick update. U/s was today and...

Caleb is vertex! I don't completely recall his turning (since it must have happened between last Tuesday and today)... but he did move A LOT this past Sunday. I remember thinking he was doing some crazy big movements.

His head is nicely down by my cervix, he is ANTERIOR and his estimated weight at this point is 5 lbs 10 oz. Which means (as long as he doesn't get sideways again) he can come whenever he wants - and I might be excused the horrific back labor I had with my posterior DD (and end up with a smaller baby)!

The u/s tech suggested I continue hanging out on my hands and knees occasionally as that will help him settle in and STAY there!

We were very happy to hear this good news, as it means no version and hopefully no reason for a section!

Crossposting from my DDC -

House news!

The house we wanted (AND paid for, AND had the paperwork done on) fell through. Goddamnit anyway.

buuuut...

DF just went (on his birthday of all days) to look at a new house for us!

Cute right?
Looks cozy!
Nice!
The wall says... A messy house is a happy home and this home is DELIRIOUS. So perfect for us sometimes lol. (and makes me think the landlord wont freak out if my kids dont put away their toys the moment they are dont playing with them like my current landlord does!)
Cute little extra room they used for crafts/den but DF and I agree is a toy room/laundry room lol
Part of the back yard, like the concrete patio!
The first pic he texted me. I fell in love with the house the moment I saw it!
Very unusual, love it!
OMG I can make sure the kids aren't getting into anything in the livingroom while I cook!
Big ol yard with a privacy fence and shed!
Awesome hiding place for presents!

I now officially WANT THIS HOUSE OMG SO BAD

it even has a security system like the other one

and the family is moving out *today* so it *will* be available for us!
Quote:
OMG everyone please hope for us to get this one!
DF said the neighborhood is full of young kids including a little girl across the street who is DDs age and her little sister who is a year younger!

ETA-
No need for hope now! WE GOT IT! We *move in* Tuesday... as in DF will start moving his stuff from the barracks then!!!!!

And it DOES have AC!

Margie called and left a message earlier which I will take as a sign. She said OMG Jessica your beta's where fabulous get in here for a sono as soon as you hit 7 weeks. I guess the nurse just told her to call me back and didn't tell her about me freaking out on the phone!

Alright, so we'll know next Thursday.

I did see that... i still have hope for all of our originals (and the new ladies over there) to get over here soon... hopefully while we're still here!!!

I'm posting June a little early-since who knows if I will feel like being on the comp tomorrow. Did mission organization in the bathroom and made room for baby towels and other baby goodies. I'm a product 'ho but was willing to freecycle *some* for the sake of baby and her stuff. and my sanity, too it was getting crowded. did save some cute no-pull hair bands for then we need them for little pony tails- you know, in like... a year or more! ha!!

Now that I'm posting June, I'd like to add some of our BSLs to our grad list.... PLEASE!!!!
