Sorry folks:
Scholastic's financial advisor, William Bird, said in a report that he believed the sixth Harry Potter book would come out "in the summer of 2005 at the earliest but more likely in the summer of 2006."

Why do you people torture yourselves???

I have put HP out of my mind......for now. I *am* looking forward to the next movie, however.

....And a question regarding the timeline of the book-vs-the timeline of the films....the books are each book=one year at Hogwarts. The films are coming out one/year so Harry grows appropriately.

Now, the books are coming out every 2-3 years (and if that's how long it takes her to write the book well so much the better) but eventually the films will catch up with the books and the one year in the book's reality = one year of Harry at Hogwarts= one film coming out every year will become skewed.

I am very excited about the new movies esp. since Gary Oldman is Sirius Black! I am glad she's taking her time with the books though. Rushing creativity and books always ends up disappointing. Can you imagine being her? Knowing that your work is being antticipated by millions of people. Glad I'm not in her shoes in that regard!
