Rubella - who can transmit to fetus?

I used to know this - but have forgotten. If the mother is immune, can the fetus be harmed by a child with the disease? Lets say for example, my son who has not had the MMR if he were to get rubella, and if I were pregnant at the time, would the fetus be at risk? (I had it as a child, and I am pretty sure was tested for it when I was pregnant 3 yrs ago)

Only mum can transmit to the foetus. If mum is immune then foetus safe because the only way for the virus to get to the foetus is across the placenta. An immune mother will destroy the virus before that can happen.
