Possibly moving to Melbourne, AUS - ??'s

DH has just been told that if he wants a job in Melbourne it's his! He has been traveling there quite a bit and we're really interested. So my question is-how can I find out if there are vaccinations that are required for us to relocate there? Are there any vaccines that I should be concerned about getting for protection b/c of possible exposure?
My 2yo has not had one single vax. My 4 yo has had some, but not any since he was a babe. I'm not going to NOT vax, just have delayed and still haven't gotten around to getting some of them.
Thanks for any help you can give!

Vaccination is nor compulsory in AU I don't believe, so you don't have to get any...

Hi from Melbourne

Nope, there are no vaccs to get coming over here. I know of people from england having to have chest xrays to check for tb but I don't think that's standard for everyone.

Your DH would be on a 457 Visa if you did come over, just google the requirements for that, the aust govt websites should have plenty of info.

We were researching this recently since Australia is great about not requiring vaccines...The only thing I came across is that if you've been in certain locations within 5 days of entering the country, you are required to get a yellow fever vaccine (Singapore, etc). There was another recommended one that I can't remember also. The easy fix to that, of course, is just getting a direct flight and not going through a "danger" zone, iykwim

We emigrated here last year. We have permanent residency visas. I'm not sure what's involved with a 457, but we had to go through medicals for ours and get assessed for migration. Both kids received a "B" grade (instead of "A" grade) for not having any vaccinations, but it didn't result in us being denied a visa.

Here is the Australian schedule:

Here is where you can find notifiable disease info:

As for health issues etc., there seems to be a lot of pertussis around here...check how many cases were reported last year. We just had it in our house, thankfully that's over with.
