One Size Diapers

Anyone happy with or have complaints about Fuzzi Bunz One Size diapers?

I have an 18mo who is just now out-growing size medium diapers - got a few Large covers for her and...

expecting a newborn in a few months so...

Have been really considering buying some ONE SIZE diapers so that I can use them on BOTH children.

I know they don't always fit so great on a newborn (may use fitteds and prefolds with xs covers at first) - but after a few months I figure baby will fit better into the "small" setting and definitely into the "medium" setting of a OS diaper.

I was considering using Fuzzi Bunz One Size diapers - but it could be a pain to keep switching the elastic back n fourth (or I could leave half on a smaller setting, half on a larger setting, til dd potty trains). I just think these might be the most worth my $$ as far as a pocket diaper goes. I'm a little concerned about the button (for adjusting the elastic) bothering my children.

My cousin told me she likes the "Gro-baby" diapers but I'm a little weary of velcro tabs - they don't seem to last and I NEED these diapers to last and last - we hope to have a large family (more children).

I love doing natural fiber fitteds with wool covers but these can sometimes be more bulky under clothes and not as travel-friendly so I mostly do them at night.

Our entire stash is 30 Fuzzibunz OS. If you are using them on two different sized babes, I'd certainly leave half on each setting as it would make for much faster diaper changes and I know my wiggly babe won't lay still for me to adjust 5 buttons for every change.

I really like our FB OS and am very happy with our decision. We do have some leaks but that was mostly at the beginning while we were figuring out what settings worked best and we were using them as soon as we were out of the hospital so DS was about 8 lb. Now our leaks are much less frequent and usually during a really long stretch of sleep (4+ hrs,) when I didn't get any extra stuffing in and he slept on his side.

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE them and I have lots of other choices! They actually fit a variety of body types b/c you adjust the leg and waist size yourself. Trim, soft, absorbent... I can't say enough good things about them!!!

If you are doing two kids from one stash, I'd sort them by color or something and keep each set on the right buttons for one baby. Once you button them, the buttons are hidden inside the fabric, so they don't irritate. I know one mama who did pastels for the newborn and brights for the toddler.

Someone showed me pictures comparing the OS FB to the Regular FB in size Medium - they are the SAME size (in other words the rise is not going to get higher than it does on a medium). This is probably not good since my daughter is for sure going to need a size large - but I already ordered six FB OS so I guess if they don't fit my toddler at least I can use them on the baby from what would have been a xs, s and m stash otherwise. - ??

Anyone using these on a 22 pound 18 month old who you know needs a higher rise than that of a regular size medium FB??? I was really hoping I could at least use them on her for a few months before baby even arrives.

Maybe that depends on the version? I know there have been some sizing inconsistencies between different versions since the FB OS came out.

Can't speak to the maximum rise, but also wanted to point out that the OS are narrower than the perfect fit. We like them because our baby is narrow in the hips and they seem the most comfortable between her legs.

We have 2 OS and they were the first pocket we were able to use on DD who is a long lean baby. They are definitely bulky on the newborn setting, but you can customize the waist and leg to fit your new baby better than any other OS we have tried. We only had one leak, the first time we tried on DD when she was 1 week old (and just under 8 pounds). I'd recommend them if you are wanting to use pockets on your new baby. Also, if you have other inserts that are trimmer than a microfiber one it might reduce the bulkiness. Next time I CD a newborn I would try the OS with a thin hemp insert or the bum genius newborn insert to reduce some of the bulk.

Thanks for this info (and everyone else too!). I think I will wait on using these on the newborn - these were mostly meant to use on the 18mo because she's grown out of her medium dipes and covers. I have some kissaluvs and small prefolds and covers for the new baby but was hoping that once dd is potty-trained then I can just lower the OS setting and let her younger sibling use those diapers

We really like that the leg can be made to fit a skinny legged baby. Also they just came out with new colors : )
