I recently had a nice moment when I was at CVS about to pay over $7 for bobby pins and hair elastics when I realized I could go to the $ store for them. I also got black wire hanging baskets with that coconut husk--no stupid design, very plain, I was excited! What do you get there? I need more ideas.

kid's birthday parties, when I don't really care about the presentation of the gift that will be ripped apart immediately. Craft paper, scissors, notions to glue onto the crafts. I make our soap and when I can't get the plastic buckets free from the deli, I will buy a new bucket from the dollar store. If I need an aluminum pan to take a food gift to someone, I will buy it there. And then yes, hair bands for dd. Combs for dh to carry in his pocket.

).... books, picture frames for gifts, calendars, I used to get body wash & toothpaste before I started making my own... OH and sun hats, flip flops, toys to decorate birthday cake, party supplies, dog toys... haha I think I could do all my shopping there!! But I am super careful not to buy something that would normally cost 50 cents elsewhere... just cause it's $1 doesn't mean it's a good deal OR that I need it (I have to keep telling myself that lol)
