We have dollar tree that is all dollar stuff. Then there is Deals and Dollar general that sell things costing over a dollar.

Lately at DEALs I have gotten for a dollar:
lemon ice 4 packs
bleach
blue berries frozen
forzen green leaf veggies
4 pack hypo aller soap(I used to get awesome olive oil soaps-miss those)
They used to sell some great science packs like crystal growing/make snow.
dish soap
borax

For more than a dollar:
Deep off woods(we have ticks)
laundry/house cleaning stuff

At the dollar tree I have gotten:
gummi rats for school halloween party I made rats on glue traps
Bamboo toothpics for eyeballs(again halloween party) that was donut holes covered in melted while chocolate with eye painted on.
soap
various toys
school type posters like solar system or times tables
borax
dog chew bones
and back in the day I would get pregnany tests

Dollar general we rarely shop at but have gotten a remote control car for 5 and a keyboard for 8.

So the preg tests are accurate and everything? That's great, I'll probably need one soonish. TTC. Also, I noticed that they had these phone cards--international phone cards. Has anyone tried them?

Never tried the phone cards but yes, the Dollar Tree pregnancy tests are accurate!! I've taken probably about 10 of them, both pg & not

I will second this.

Although, one warning. The test line dye was faint on all 4 of my BFP. If you see even a SHADOW of a line on those things, you are pregnant! My control line showed up strong, but that darn test line....

I had to get a digital to convince dh that I wasn't seeing things.

Otherwise, it's a bright white background with one pink test line, which is a negative.

OHHH yes I forgot about that, I threw out my first test when I was pregnant because I thought it was negative!! Then something told me to fetch it from the trash & there was a faint line & DH was like, "Oh that was there before, I thought that was just part of the test." But I figured it was so light because I was only 10dpo at that point...

we actually just got back from a dollar tree this afternoon.

we bought

several glow stick items (necklaces, tubes) the kids love playing with these
10 rolls of grosgrain ribbon (little girl ribbon making)
index cards
scotch tape
grape vine wreath

but I have also bought before pretty much a variety of things.

HS items like charts/maps, writing tablets, craft supplies
household items (drain cleaner, bleach, assort sprays when needed)
party items (all paper items, tableclothes, decorations, party supplies)

I havent however bought any food items with the exception of the occassional candy or sweet treat (ours has a ice cream/popsicle cart)

I get my Sunday papers there-normally they go for $1.75, but at Dollar Tree they are still just $1. I coupon a lot so I am able to get 4 papers that, for less than what I would pay for 3 of them elsewhere.

What others said and greeting cards if we aren't making them. The cards at ours are actually pretty nice (dollar tree). Just as nice as the $3-4 ones, and they are 2/$1.

I second the greeting cards. It's one of the only reasons I go there. I can't stand buying a card for $4 so I get them for $.50. It's great. OK the other reason is pregnancy tests. Used them several times and got my last two positives off of them and several negatives.
