Holy cow, 37, really? I would have said 30 tops. And you have a 16yo??

Well whatever you're doing, keep it up, mama! Looking good!

It sounds like a great time, even with the bereavement

I've never heard of trying to get the ribbons off the Maypole! That can't be easy.
I don't use my tarot cards very often, either, and I still have to use the book, even after all these years

but I like to have them. I have the Herbal tarot.

Aww, man

That's how I unwind, too...and ds thinks that if I'm quiet, at the computer or on the phone listening to whomever I'm talking with, that that's an invitation to yak at me

Boy, if I'm stressed and trying to unwind, that is the
wrong time to try to yak at me.

It's definitely an attitude filled, kick butt cartoon. Sadly, my son has picked up on the teenager badittude from that show. Plus, he's more 'violent' now than he was before he started watching Ben 10.

Glad it was nothing, DOK. Better to be safe than sorry, I always say, especially when it comes to safety. Boo on your landlord for not understanding that!
Ben10-- my boy is heavily into that. I think it's stupid, but whatever. I'm sure that whatever I liked at his age was stupid to my parents, too

DS has a plastic Ben10 watch and wears it lots. He had one of the newer ones, but got this older version from a friend who didn't want it anymore, and it broke. I tried to find it on Ebay and it's going for a ton of money!! He still plays with the broken one, though, just pretending instead of whatever it's supposed to actually do.
He also has a Nintendo DS game or two of it.
I don't think it gives him any extra attitude at all, but that may vary by child. He has enough of that w/o Ben10...well, sometimes.
I am not in any way a GD parent so I nip that in the bud with total restrictions, on whatever is causing the attitude.
He does like cartoon violence, but he doesn't like "real" violence at all, and he's very compassionate with little kids, animals, and grownups, so I'm good. He hates blood. Like, in the first Spider-Man movie where the uncle gets hit by a car, and Toby McGuire finds him, and you see blood filling his mouth very briefly, my ds turns his head away. He can't watch that kind of stuff at all. He couldn't get thru Pirates of the Caribbean or Lord of the Rings. But Ben10, he's fine with.
Ben10 I think is kind of like this kid who...well, not really a superhero, but he has powers via this watch, that helps people. Sort of. I find it harmless. We haven't read any of the books. Maybe I'll check them out when I go to the library next.
M has a monster of a cold sore on his lip. He said it's very, very painful and can't even close his mouth, and it hurts for him to talk to me

Please send him healing energy for it to go away before I get there! It's only 9 days...I am glad to see my sweetie no matter what, but I haven't seen him in 2 months and would really appreciate being able to kiss him! *pout*
