Well it's official. My bbs are amazing now LOL.

I had DP on webcam and DH was at the computer talking to him about video games (I think they miss each other *snorts*) and I came out wearing my outfit for the party.

It's a V cut strappy black dress with an empire waist and I'm wearing a bright red ruffled shrug over it. I have high heels that are monster shoes that I bought from Hot Topic. They have teeth on the front (semi open toe), eyes on each side of the foot area and a black satin bow on the back with red velvet heels.

I had on a underwire bra and came out and first DP stopped talking because he saw me come into camera view and then DH looked and they both go, "uh, wow. Those are...I mean, you look uh...you boobs are awesome." *rolls eyes*

I guess it's a good outfit though!

Deshanna - too funny about your men missing each other. I loved my 1st tri boobs too. Now I'm just frustrated at them (too big for my preference).

I leave in 7 hours for Chevak & Napakiak Alaska. I'm taking baby girl, but am leaving DS for 3 nights/4 days. I'm trying really hard to not get emotional. I'm nearly packed - but still have another hour or so. Guess this will be a 4 hour night. At least all my food & work stuff is packed. One cooler of food, one large tote/box of meeting supples. Hopefully I can fit our bedding, clothing & diapers in my duffle. Then there is my carry-on (mostly laptop & diapers) and car seat. Yikes. Too much. But I guess that's what happens when you go on a trip & need to take all your food & bedding. On top of all of this, I'm going to hold a series of meetings - and I've mostly lost my voice. Stupid birch pollen. The Kuskokwim River (where I'll be) had its ice go out last week - I'm hoping that means the tundra with be behind a week as well in spewing pollen. On the good side, this is my first time to Western Alaska & I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Yeah, a lot of the local towns have a Town Day. Ours is in early September, I think. I do like them because you learn who is in local business, and it was great for us because it came just as we moved in.

DH is on his way to go rock an interview. It's a little further away than we'd like, but not outrageously so, and he would be teaching what he really loves, so it's all worth it. I just hope it works out!

and I didn't take pics of my outfit for the Ren Faire, but it sounds like DeShanna definitely should!

I had a huge post that I thought went through but I don't see it sooooo.... argh! fast update of what I recalll...

sassafrass- don't nibble too much... it has been linked to liver damage in humans (and full on toxicity in animals). In fact, it was illegal to sell sassafrass containing products for human consumption for a loooooong time (this changed in the 90s, when the regulatory laws changed, not because new studies demonstrated safe levels or anuthing "useful" like that). Anyway, it's not like it'll kill you if you have a little now/then but if you have any liver, thyroid, or cancer problems in your family I'd avoid it all.

clothing- as a top/bottom look... what about a sort of updated "poodle skirt" look? You could be all casual swing dance till you drop or throw on a cardigan/structured jacket and be all soda counter sweetness. Maximum updress/downdress options, comfy, and fun!

pox- last night was better, thank all the gods.

baba yaga- great idea! Scott Card is a fun author who I haven't read recently. Thanks for the reminder.

weeds whacker- well, I fall in the weed whacker camp, but around here using one is either "whacking" or "edging". This is soda land too, if that matters1

It's so hot and humid here. Hard to beleive that I lost my tulips to frost and snow just two weeks ago! Even the dog, who loves to be outside, prefer to stay inside now.

DoK-interesting about the dreams. I'm curious about your DS. Did he still enjoy the fireworks event even though he wanted to go in due to the noise? My DS wants to see fireworks this year, but he has sensory issues. I think it will be difficult, but maybe he just needs to experience it for himself? Maybe as long as there's a way to get him away from the noise if it's too difficult for him? IDK.

Bluets- what a nice ritual. I think I'll try it. When is the school anniversary? How fun. I haven't been to any of my reunions, and the 20 year's coming up. High School was a really rough time for me, so I don't know if I want to go. College was my time.

We're having a sick day at our house. DS had it last week and now DD and DP have it. Poor DP still has to go into work, and it's an awful tummy bug. I hope everyone who needs taken care of gets better before I get it...tick, tock On the upside, I did get a big chunk of gardening done yesterday. I'd love to do a little more today, but we'll have to see how it goes. Really, today should be about cleaning, cleansing and cleaning some more...

Little drive by, doing well, a little spacey the past couple days tho. Keep making stupid little "not thinking" mistakes. ??? Maybe it's due to youngest only wanting to sleep from 12-6 every night... :-)

Taking kids to a "we homeschool and can go out during the day but summer is coming and crowds will overrun the places we go to" sort of day. Hitting a matinee at the movie theater to see Shrek with friends. It's Bodhi's first venture to a theater, so cross your fingers!

Had a lovely day yesterday, even though Bodhi had a rough morning, and Addie had a rough evening... lol. And Riley just happily poked everyone's nerves when they were raw. But it ended up ok. Addison broke down when she dropped her webkinz code in her (pit of crap) room and couldn't find it. She ended up eating dinner, calming way down, and of her own volition went in there and started cleaning up her room. Yay! She really got into the sorting and organizing and spent several hours off and on last night on it. Color me proud.

Addison has been interested in spiritual stuff lately. Well, more into the physical stuff, like ritual etc. I was looking on amazon at books and found pagan homeschooling, and ordinary girl, magical child. I have seen both of these before but hadn't read them, any thoughts? Also Celebrating the Great Mother.

He LOVED looking at them. I think next time I'll have ear plugs and cushioned head phones available. I think that wearing both of those could help.
Some of the fireworks were so loud though that you can feel it in your chest. Even though made me feel anxious.

Thank you hun Sometimes it's hard to believe I'll be 39... I don't FEEL 39?? And yes, posh coffee shall be had.. BUT it's very windy & a tad chilly and may be so on the weekend.. so it MAY actually be a posh hot coffee!!

I have another celebration to share... TODAY is the 10th anniversary of the absolute best day of my life. 10 years ago this very day, I was standing nervously in SFO airport waiting for the love of my life to arrive... oddly enough so that we could FINALLY meet in person (after a year of long distance relationship). It literally brings tears to my eyes remembering that day and seeing how it has changed my life. He doesn't see himself as that great of a guy.. but to me, he's a knight in shining armor (or hi visibility orange work gear lol) The gods certainly had better things in store for me after my life fell apart. We have the same issue.. Lucas canNOT handle the noise of fireworks. Australia is firework crazy... we have them on Australia day in January, and there's Riverfire (can'tremember when that is) where there is a HUGE fireworks extravaganza launched from barges on the river and snakes its way through Brisbane, and then local areas will have fireworks for whatever reason (football clubs do them absurdly often lol)

Nice evening I am having. I have a friend that has always been sort of on the fringe of my social circle. We like each other, hang out in the groups, but I never (and she never) has been close enough to ask her out one on one or anything. She has a boy Riley's age and they like to play together on homeschool group days.

Today we saw Shrek 3d, and they were there, and her boy B came home with us for a sleepover. <3 Sort of bittersweet, since they are getting along famously well, but this family is moving to CA in a couple weeks. Sad that we didn't do this earlier. B is a really sweet kid, and their personalities really compliment each other. Which can be hard to find with Riley. I'll miss his mom too, though we aren't "bff close" like dd would say.

Does anyone else have a dh who is anal retentive about dryer lint traps? I swear to all that is holy... I literally emptied the lint trap the last load I did and I just heard him in the laundry room telling our youngest about the "full tint trap" in a horrified voice. I ran a load of new towels, which probably filled it up more, but it's never really enough. He has spazzed before about a fine covering on the thing. AND my family actually had a fire in our home due to a dryer issue, so I am not insensitive to the dangers, but I think this guy should just only hang stuff on a line. geez

Dd is suffering from being the odd girl out, it's usually her with the gf's over and ry left out. (insert evil grin here) I think it's reasonable for me to be happy that she is learning this lesson, though it's a hard one. She might be more sympathetic next girly sleepover.

And, I totally broke down and bought chili's on the way home. Gluten free, and picked it up at the door. after a long day out it was so nice. And my kitchen is clean and cool (it's hot here already) now. yay

Ahhh. that is all. Nothing deep or spiritual here, folks, keep moving.

oh, and Bodhi's first movie experience was a blast. he was quiet, mostly still (reclining seats are FUN!) and loved 3d glasses. We went to a movie tavern and can I say? Wait staff + movies+kids = best 40 bucks I've spent all month. Definitely going more this summer, and non 3d movies are only 5 bucks a ticket. woot!

Glad the kiddo enjoyed his theatre experience! My guys haven't been to a cinema yet, mainly because they can't shut up long enough to watch a movie at home, so no way would they do well in a big dark theatre for 2hrs even


We just had to drag the boys inside earlier, after azzhat neighbors went about their backyard shouting and swearing about SOMETHING the dogs did. I *think* the dogs killed the rabbit that was in the hutch. Yep, real rocket scientists I have for neighbors... they have 3 dogs (a husky, dalmation and a retriever looking dog) AND a rabbit living in a hutch in their yard. I heard a bit of commotion last night from the dogs, which was unusual... so I think that would be when they got the bunny. I'm REALLY glad my boys hadn't been outside without me because they look through the fence & talk to the dogs... I would have been very unhappy if they'd seen a slaughtered rabbit. Some people should not own pets, especially if they don't want to exercise & pay attn to them

Anniversary celebration will be a very traditional Aussie fish n chips DH remembered on his own too.. he came in and sneaked up on me and whispered happy anniversary in my ear

We looked at tickets for Celtic Women. The cheapest option, for two people, was about 400$!!! They ask for a 40$ rate for mailing the tickets?!?!?! I will keep watching them on Youtube for free.

It's supposed to cool down this afternoon. I sure hope so as I'm taking the commuter rail into the city today. A good friend of mine is moving back to her home country for at least the summer, and I'm visiting her and her new baby before she goes.

Course, it took lots of years of PSG to help drill that into me. Nobody there is hollywood-looking. Most people are normal to fat. There's one lady that I've seen that has had a mastectomy on one side, and she's been tattooed in the place where her breast was. And they all look beautiful. Talk about empowering.
And then there's M, who goes on and on about how beautiful I am, and how hot. And how much he loves my...um, rear. Which I have always hated.

Hot here too. Three weeks ago, it snowed. Today, its in the 90s. Neither is "normal" for this region.

Pox- so Rowan in "officially" poxed (70 dollars out of pocket ) but since Torin only has three pox they couldn't confirm him. We'll have to add achicken pox screen to routine blood work later on to either confirm/deny the pox at sufficient levels to confer immunity.

He does have a dermatologist appt next month though since his impetigo (if it is impetigo) is no longer responding to the medicated lotion.
