My 20 month old loves to draw....she is starting to learn how to draw shapes. This morning she drew a squiggly line and said "snake" and made her snake sound and then drew a circle and said "apple" I was surprsied at this for her age. Is this something that other's toddlers this age are doing?

I remember my boys doing that fairly young, but I don't remember what age. One's first drawing was a squiggly line, of which he said "this is a snake".

So to answer your question, the topic choice sounds about right. I don't remember how old mine were when they started it, but I'd guess closer to two.
