Sorry Holly and Finnegan ... I am afraid I will be joining you soon (my month 10), I am feeling a bit crampy (AF crampy, not the good kind of crampy).

SoCal, I can't imagine 3 years.
I'm getting cd3 bloodwork drawn tomorrow to test for a few things. Including FSH, which scares me. I'll be 39 in November.

rcr - I could never tell the difference between my period cramps and very early pregnancy cramps. for you

Re

I'm sorry SoCal. I hope and pray that you won't meet that 3 year milestone..come on bfp!!

just an update: DD is 19.5 months old and still no period. DD woke 7 times last night to nurse so im sure this has something to do with it !!
Hi, im nursing my 2yo (and sometimes my 4yo), and this is my 2nd cycle ttc for no. 3
Has anyone here experienced the return of their cycle whilst breastfeeding and what patterns have you noticed before getting pregnant?

Last time i did this, i was breastfeeding my then 2 yo about 8 times a day. I ovulated usually on day 17-20 of my cycle and had a short luteal phase. My first cycle of ttc, i got lucky with a bfp, (with my now 2yo nursling)

I took progesterone in that cycle, to ensure against any problem with luteal phase deficiency.

That was 23months pp.

This time i am ttc'ing at 24mths and 25mths pp.

Up until 23mths pp, i had the same pattern as the first time, ie. ovulation on day 17-20, short luteal phase. But pp month 24, and 25, my O day was on day 15 and day 13 respectively. I cannot compare to last time, as i was pregnant then.

Current nursling is nursing a little less than his bro at that time, maybe 6 times a day.

So my question is, has anyone done this several times around, and noticed a similar pattern of the return of your cycle whilst breastfeeding? When and if you ovulated earlier, did your luteal phase get longer, or was it still short? It makes sense that your luteal phase will gradually return to normal whilst breastfeeding if your cycle is returning to normal. (all else being equal)

grateful to hear any btdt.

Maya

finnegansmom~ hope the test results are what you want to hear. I keep avoiding going to a RE. the last time i attempted to our insurance makes you go through Infertility Program they set up so you bypass needing a referral from a pcp. The lady i talked to was beyond rude and i havent gotten up the nerve to call again. I also found out i have to answer a bunch of questions for them to decide if i qualify.

rcr~ thanks for the

kikaaaso~ thanks i hope so also.

Sorry. Does she nurse during the day? My DS nurses about that much (he is 2 1/2 YO), but he is completely day-weaned (and was almost day-weaned around 19 MO).

hi guys. I just wanted to check in. I posted a super long rant on the main, so I won't repeat here. but I'm so bummed.

My progesterone sucks. Everyone is telling me I have the choice to either wean my baby or stop TTC.

okay, sorry to be AAM, but NAK and need to run. more later. best to you all.

hugs to those who AF found.
I was so hopeful for you all.
Socal, hugs on the impending anniversary. I second what pp said- may you be blessed with a bfp before that!
Finnegans- hugs on the upcoming tests. They are a double-edged sword, aren't they? Hope you get only good news.

rcr- dd is basically day weaned.. we nurse to nap and nurse to sleep and thats it during the day ( i consider that 2 times a day) ... and then we have a nursing marathon all night long. Still can't believe i dont have a period yet. I think i will give it 24 months.. and the i might ask my doctor if provera is the right path for me? Also, DD might be weaned by then... doubt it - but you never know. Alot of family members who had kids right around when I had my DD are just now getting pregnant with number 2 .. and here i am still without a period!!!! so frustrating, but im glad that I am here for DD and her needs. She is really cute .. blond curls and big blue eyes and tells me she loves me all day long.. i have to take a step back sometimes and think wow im really blessed just to have HER !

Tara2~ on af showing up.

babygrey~ on the issue with progesterone. I wouldn't wean since it's not 100% that weaning would fix the issue.

Re

(((hugs))) Babygrey and Tara2

Babygrey..I am sorry I don't know if you take this already, but can you take natural progesterone to help it? Or Vitex..although I think you may be taking this? I hope whatever is going on gets fixed soon. I'm sorry, hon. (((hugs)))

Big ((hugs)) babygrey and Tara.

Finnsmom, hope the testing yields something easily fixed. Fingers crossed.

Tropacana, hope AF finds you soon. (Only on here would we say that!) I second trying Vitex if you haven't yet.

SoCal, hope you don't make it to your anniversary.

AFM - BFN at 10DPO today. There's still time, I know, but with DS I had a very strong BFP at 11DPO and I already felt different. I don't feel anything at all at the moment. (Even when I try to push on my bbs and convince myself they hurt!! LOL!) I'll test again on Sat (or maybe wait until Mother's Day on Sunday if I can do it) if AF hasn't arrived. The good news is that my LP is already a day and a half longer than last cycle, so I'm trying to focus on that as the positive here. Maybe if I don't get a BFP I'll at least make it to a reasonable LP for the first time since DS was born. Fun times...
